Concaster and former NFL player Cam Newton recently spoke on his views on marriage and commitment and of course he sparked outrage on line. Cam said love is not a stamp of approval from the government, meaning a marriage certificate. He said it's about the energy between two people. Cam made it clear that he prioritizes a genuine connection with his partner over a legal obligation.

3:01He said quote, i want to be around who wants to be around me. I like volunteers, i don't do hostages. Cam said that marriage would make him feel like he's holding a woman hostage or she's holding him hostage. He said he would prefer to have a quote, life partner. Cam has nine children, six biological and very, that he's, yeah, yeah, yeah, six biological three that he's raising from past relationships. He of course has never been married. And what do you think? Marriage is like holding someone hostage or being held hostage. That's a cancer. I like candy. I love candy. No, I don't see his views on it at all. I don't mean you can't say so. You know, um, see sometimes we have to realize that it's not just about you. It's about those children, nine of them all. It's about her feelings, yeah, that's what you do sometimes.

4:04Because men, we sacrifice a lot for those that we love and care about. I'm not saying he's not a great father. I don't know anything about it. He seems like he would be a great father. You're going down the floor. I'm going to see. What the? Yeah. Yeah. We have paperwork right last time. We're going to get it right this time. So they're timing is off. You're timing way off, man. So you guys basically agree with Cam Newton that he feels like a high man at camp. I'm not mad at you. But you know what, though, you always have a choice. Yeah. It's also an excuse he's used for being blamed for not doing what's considered the right thing.
