0:00It's March 3rd, here's your Tampa Bay news in two minutes. A new bar called trailer daddy swings open his doors this Friday, March 6th, at 8 p.m. in downtown St. Petersburg at 217 Central, Avenue. It's all about Americana nostalgia with red solo cups, plastic flamingos, and a fun backyard party feel. The spot takes over the old glamper location from the forward hospitality group out of Ohio. They've got other popular places nearby, like Welcome to the Farm and Tony D's subshop. Leaders say it amps up the energy with what they call the best kind of American chaos. Owners want every night to feel like a non-stop 4th of July bash, complete with grand parents dancing and everyone building out song hooks. Real trailers got hauled in and tricked out, plus vintage hubcaps, lawn chairs, and a mullet haul of fame for that immersive trailer park vibe. Let's come in those classic solo cups, with your name scribbled on by bartenders using

1:00Sharpies. Expect beers, frozen cocktails, jello shots, and standouts like the American Pie with Fireball and Apple flavors, or the Pink Starburst. Food ties in from next doors, Tony D's, with subs and cheesestakes ordered by QR code. After the grand opening, it runs from 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon on weekends. Bill Mixin, DJ Nights, trivia, karaoke, and live tunes, swing by their Instagram for the latest. The Daily News Now is presented by our sponsor.
