Host member Terrence Bishundayal shares his story of growing up with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a physical condition and his daily life. Talking about his diagnoses, childhood symptoms, how it affected him and medication. Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a physical disability, and is one of many types of muscular dystrophies. Symptoms of muscle weakness typically starts in aged four boys, and worsens quickly. Muscle loss first occurs in the upper legs and pelvis followed by upper arms.
