On April 6th, 25-year-old Todd Meadows died on February 25th after falling overboard from the fishing vessel Aleutian Lady in the Um, Bering Sea off Alaska's coast. His death certificate issued March 6th and made public April 6th, lists drowning with probable hypothermia as the cause, ruled and accident, following an autopsy. The incident happened about 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor. Scott Watchstanders got the call that evening, and the crew pulled him from the water unresponsive, roughly 10 minutes later. Despite first aid in resuscitation efforts, they couldn't save him, and his body was taken to Dutch Harbor. Captain Rick Schelford, who worked with Meadows on Deadliest Catch, shared a heartfelt tribute online, calling him family with a killer work ethic and, infectious smile, discovered Channel Express Deep Sadness sending thoughts to his crew and loved ones. As a dad to three young boys, his loss hit hard. A GoFundMeForest family has pulled in nearly $57,000 so far, highlighting how he lived

for his kids and the fishing life. This isn't the first tragedy for the show. Others like Nick Marvar, Nick Maglashon, and Captain's Phil Harris and Blake Painter have passed in recent years. The Coast Guard is still looking into what went down, but Meadows' spear and legacy endure, through his crew, family and those Bering Sea memories.
