The Tennessee Titans kicked off free agency by signing quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to a

two-year deal worth $10.5 million.

He set to back up their new starter, Cam Ward, right from the start.

This move feels a gap left by backup Brandon Allen, who's now a free agent after a rough

final game last season.

Brian Dable, the Titans' new offensive coordinator, knows Trubisky well from their time together

in Buffalo.

There, Trubisky served as Josh Allen's backup for the past two seasons and three of the

last five.

It's a reunion that makes him a reliable veteran option for the team.

Fans and analysts see this as a clear sign that Will Levis' time in Tennessee is winding

down.

The 26-year-old missed the entire 2025 season due to shoulder surgery, but still has one

year left on his rookie contract.

Many expected him to be traded once Ward arrived as the number one overall pick.

Levis struggled as the starter in 2024, which pushed the Titans to draft Ward as their

future.

Keeping Levis as a third stringer behind Trubisky and Ward doesn't make sense for anyone

involved.
