Titans Sign CB Joshua Williams, Strengthen Cornerback Group

0:00On March 10th, the Tennessee Titans are overhauling their cornerback group this off-season. General Manager Mike Borgonzi has moved fast, agreeing to terms with three players already. The latest is Joshua Williams on a two-year deal worth $10 million. They already locked in Alentay Taylor and Coredale Flot during the legal tampering window. Williams comes over from the Kansas City Chiefs where Borgonzi served as assistant general manager. Borgonzi likely had a hand in drafting Williams back in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft. Now he's reuniting with the 6-foot-3, 195-pound defender from Fayetteville State. Williams brings 12 career starts in 18 pass breakups plus great length with nearly 33-inch arms. He adds size and depth, giving Coach Robert Salet options like starting him outside or using him off the bench alongside Taylor and Flot. This revamp turns a thin room with just one quality corner into four solid options boosting the Titans defensive floor right away.
