Titans Release L'Jarius Sneed, Seek More Cap Relief

0:00On March 13th, the Tennessee Titans have released cornerback Lajerius Sneed after two lackluster seasons opening up valuable salary cap space for the team. Sneed appeared in just 12 games across 2024 and 2025 with no interceptions to his name and he spent time on injured reserve starting in October. The Titans had traded for him from Kansas City and signed him to a four-year deal averaging 19.4 million dollars a year back in March of 2024. The move comes amid a busy offseason for Tennessee where they've already brought in replacements like Alan Taitaler from New Orleans, Cordale Flot, from the New York Giants and Joshua Williams from Kansas City. Team leaders are eyeing more cap relief, especially with wide receiver Calvin Ridley carrying the biggest hit at 26.4 million dollars. Having the 31-year-old Ridley would save 13 million, though his output has been modest with just four touchdowns over two seasons.
