Titans, Jets Swap Edge Rusher, Nose Tackle

0:00On March 12th, the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets pulled off a straight player swap this week, with the Titans landing edge rusher Germain. Johnson, in exchange for nose tackle, Tivandre Sweat. The deal went official, Thursday, right after the league year kicked off on Wednesday. Johnson is linking back up with Titans head coach Robert Salah, who was calling the shots for the Jets when they took Johnson 26 overall. Back in the 2022 draft, he's also reuniting with defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, his position coach during those first three years in New York. Fans are buzzing about Johnson's track record, including his pro bowl nod in 2023, where he racked up a career best 7 point. Five sacks and 55 tackles over 17 starts. His career with the Jets featured 131 tackles, 13 sacks, and plenty of pressure on quarterbacks across 47 games. So a torn Achilles sidelined him early last season.
