Titans Boost Roster, Still Need Offensive Playmakers

0:00On March 16th, the Tennessee Titans wrapped up the first week of free agency with some solid moves to rebuild their roster. They're clearly in better shape now than before, but experts point to a key gap, more offensive playmakers to support quarterback Ham Ward. They picked up wide receiver Wandel Robinson, who should see plenty of targets in their new scheme. Still, the receiving group has aging veterans like Calvin Ridley and some unproven young talent deeper on the depth chart. Running backs Tony Pollard and TyJ Spears provide reliability, but the team lacks that explosive spark to stretch defenses. Up front, the offensive line needs work too, especially at center and right guard after losing Lloyd Kushenberry and with Kevin Zyler hitting free. Agency. Protecting Ward starts there. Looking ahead, the Titans could target a dynamic back like Jeremiah Love with their number 4 draft pick, then grab a receiver later at number 35, setting them up strong for the season.
