Titans' Backfield Battle: Singleton's Future Plans

Word is, they planned to grab why receiver Carnail Tate at 4th anyway. Fast forward to day 3, and General Manager Mike Borgonzi snagged Penn State's Nickelton with a 165th pick, packing. Their back feel tight. Now the Titans running back group is stacked, with Tony Pollard, TyJ Spears, Michael Carter, Julius Chestnut, and last year's pick, Kaleil Mullings. All in the mix, Singleton steps into real competition right away, no free rides. Both Pollard and Spears are in contract years, and it looks like Borgonzi wants them gone after this season. He took over from the old regime, and is reshaping the roster his way. Pollard is getting up there in age, and Spears has battled injuries non-stop. Singleton brings serious credentials, a four-year Penn State standout with a school record in all purpose yards, and 55 total touchdowns.
