About this episode
The mud season has begun here in the foothills, and it is time to close the parking areas to protect them from being all rutted up. One year there was a car that got stuck all the way to its frame. It was there for over a month. In life, we find times when we want to avoid physical or mental hazards by closing them off for a while.

Welcome to this message from the mountain, coming to you from the foothills of white mountains in New Hampshire. Today's podcast is titled Time to Close the Bocking Areas. It's just about ready for mud season to go into full for mud. And when that happens, we want to protect our packing areas as best we can so we flag them off, which eliminates pretty well the packing for trails for the next month or so. I think about decisions in life where there's times where we just plain do not do things that we've done for a while but there's just the reason for not doing them for a bit. And then when we rediscover them again, it's like new for the first time. Same thing in the packing, the goal is to have trails already and when people come to enjoy the spring and the summer and the fall and even the winter.
But right now we work with the decision that we don't drive on it and so we flag it off for other people. And in life is time where you want to flag off your life a little bit. You yourself a little peace, a little chance to dry out if you want to call it that in thought, in feelings. Anyways, just some thoughts while we flag off the packing area. My name is Michael Athoy and this is Message from the Mountain. This is my prayer. These words are right and good for you. I'd have to hear them. Thank you so much for listening.
