Thune & Scott Back Hern for Oklahoma Senate

The vacancy happened after President Donald Trump tapped Senator Mark Wayne Mullen to serve as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Seeing Christy Knowham, Trump himself endorsed Hearn earlier, praising his strong ties to the Make America Great Again movement and his backing from top Senate figures. Meanwhile, Governor Kevin Stitt will appoint an interim Senator soon, but that person cannot run for the full term in November's election and several.
