Thunder Beat Knicks, SGA's Free Throws Draw Criticism

The Oklahoma City Thunder pulled out a close 103-100 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Nick star Jaylen Brunson struggled with a shot, going 5-18 from the field for 16 points. Still, he posted a season high 15 assists, keeping his team in it till the end. Thunderguard Shy Gilgis Alexander paced his squad with 26 points and 8 assists. He took 7 free throws, more than anyone else. Brunson got to the line 6 times, but made only 4. After the game, Gilgis Alexander called Brunson relentless, a tough cover whose scores, passes, and attacks defenses. Meanwhile, Sacramento King's coach Mike Brown said SGA does the best job in the league of selling calls to referees. Chris Chandler Parsons agreed, saying Brown's words were just the polite way of calling it flopping.
