0:00How are the three things we need to know today? Since it's literally Friday the 13th today, this feels like perfect timing. The Friday the 13th universe is coming back with a new prequel series called Crystal Lake that's gonna dive into the backstory of Jason and his mom Pamela before all the Camp Crystal Lake chaos. Linda Cardinal is playing Pamela Voorhees and the show, produced by A24, is supposed to be more of a creepy psychological thriller. It's gonna drop on peacock this December. The Oscars are this Sunday night and security is extra intense this year. So there was an alert about a possible Iranian drone threat. So LAPD and federal agencies are teaming up with SWAT teams, bomb squads, and about 1,000 private security cards around the event. Now, officials are saying there really isn't a specific threat right now, but they are definitely not taking any chances. There's a new trend in restaurants. They are quietly starting to serve smaller portions. And a lot of people are actually really into it. Hear me out. Chains like Olive Garden and the Cheesecake Factory

1:01are adding petite menu options for people who just want lighter meals and lower prices. And get this, experts say it's partly because of appetite, suppressing meds, like a Zempik and Wigavy, but also because a lot of people just don't want those giant portions anymore. So make sure to pay attention next time you're at your favorite restaurant to see if they have quietly joined this trend. And that's three things you need to know. I want to take a second to talk about something that's personal to me.

2:01I've had the privilege of working closely with Robert Kraft for a long time, and one thing I've always respected is how seriously he takes up standing up to hate. As a Jewish athlete, my identity is something I am proud of, but I also know what it feels like to be singled out for it. That's why this new commercial for the Blue Square Alliance against hate that aired during the big game really hit home. It's about showing up for someone when they're targeted, even if you don't have the perfect words, and sometimes standing next to someone is enough, and you could show support by sharing the Blue Square.
