Three Suspicious Fires in Yeppoon

The first hit a floor a shop on Norma B Street around 3.15am wiping out the entire business. Crews from the Queensland Fire Department quickly contained all the blazes. A short time later, at 3.45am, another fire started inside a home on Cliffs Street. Others also managed a third incident nearby, though details on that one remain limited. Two homes next to the floor had to be evacuated as a precaution, but no one was hurt in any of the fires. The community is shaken by these back-to-back events in such a small town. Officers have set up crime scenes at all three spots and suspect the fires could be connected. A 33-year-old local woman is helping with the investigation right now.
