Thomas Partey Faces New Rape Charges

0:00On March 13th, Thomas Partee, the 32-year-old former Arsenal midfielder, faces two new rape charges stemming from an incident in London back, in December 2020. The Ghanaian player, who now plays for Villarreal in Spain, intends to plead not guilty to both counts involving a fourth alleged victim. These latest accusations surfaced after his earlier charges hit the headlines last year. He is already set to stand trial in November on 5 counts of rape against two women and one sexual assault charge against another, all from 20, 21 and 2022, where he has entered not guilty please. The new complaint came forward once news of the initial case spread widely. Partee joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 for a transfer fee of around 45 million pounds, but left the club last June after, living nearby in Harfordshire. At Westminster Magistrate's Court on March 13th, the preliminary hearing went ahead without him since he was excused.
