This Trump Order Could Mean Sweeping Terror Designations

A presidential order with potential massive impact was recently issued by President Donald Trump, on “Countering Domestic Terrorism and Organized Political Violence.” The order could affect not just gangs or groups like Antifa, which have now been designated as terrorists. This includes all the organizations involved in “acts of political violence and intimidation designed to suppress lawful political activity or obstruct the rule of law.” It also proposes the use of Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act charges against the entire network and the potential labeling of any group or individual involved as terrorists.
