know it's not good for me to just run. I need it for my mental health but it takes a toll on me
physically and I need to mix it up. So one of the things I'm trying to work on this year is doing
more diverse kinds of workouts and specifically doing more strength training. And that's where
today's sponsor comes in. Tonal provides the convenience of a full gym and the guidance of a
personal trainer anytime at home with their one sleek system designed to reduce your mental load.
Tonal is the ultimate strength training system helping you focus less on workout planning and
more on getting results. Plus there's no more second guessing on your form. Tonal gives you real
time coaching cues to dial in your form which I need a lot of help on and it helps you lift safely
and effectively. Plus tonal sets the optimal weight for every move and then adjusts it. It's a tiny
bit harder each time in one pound increments as you go and as you get stronger. So it's always
a challenge which is one of the other things right we get in our right even though we're doing
something positive. We're doing it in a way that's actually getting progressively easier instead
of progressively harder. So right now Tonal is offering our listeners 200 bucks off your
tonal purchase with promo code TDS that's tonal.com and use promo code TDS for 200 bucks off your

designed to help bring those four key Stoic virtues courage discipline justice and wisdom
into the real world. You look around and you see people rushing through traffic
rushing to get their kids down to bed rushing through work to get to the weekend. No time to talk,
no time to sit. There's too much to do. There's somewhere to go. Faster the better.
And this was true in the ancient world as it is today. In Rome people rushing to get their male
rushing to win the next public office rushing to the next round of the games in the coliseum,
rushing to their next big accomplishment. At least that's what they thought.
Senator makes a point however that what we're really rushing towards with all deliberate speed
is death. That's what he means when he says that we get death wrong. Death is not some distant thing
in the future some looming end date to which the proper response is to try to squeeze in as much time
as possible before it comes. Instead he said death is something happening to you right now.
It's happening to you as you listen to this episode. I hope it's been worth it. It's happening to you
as you struggle to put on your daughter shoes so you can drop her off at school. And then
it's still happening as you sit down to that comfy meeting you rushed through even though you
didn't want to have it in the first place. The time that passes. Seneca reminds us is death. It
belongs to death. We'll never get to live that which has been lived again. So why are you rushing?
Why are you thinking about the future at the expense of the present? But no season reminds us
of the possibility of rebirth of a chance for life to start a new then spring. After the long
hibernation of winter it's time to reset to reassess a patient time to plant seeds in the form of
better habits and better routines so you can reap what you sowed come summer and fall with more
meaningful relationships and success and presence. And by the way that's what we created this
challenge. I've been telling you about the Daily Stokes Spring Forward Challenge. It's 10
