This happened on November 7th, 2024, near the dog and duck in Soho. The thief, 29-year-old Algerian Enzo Conticello, grabbed it while she chatted with a friend, not knowing the gems were in there. He also swept her laptop, credit cards, and other stuff, then hit nearby shops for smokes, drinks, and snacks. Conticello, a cocaine addict at the time, says he gave the whole bag away to score drugs. Prosecutors agree he had no clue about the egg's value. It was just an easy grab for quick cash.
