2:00What's up, everyone? And welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're gonna dive right back in to that Virginia Roberts deposition and pick up where we left off. So without further ado, let's get to it. Manager, okay, you have signed contingency fee agreements with boys and children, correct? Virginia, yes. Manager, you've signed contingency fees with Mr. Cassel, correct? Virginia, correct. Manager and Mr. Edwards and his firm, Virginia, correct. Manager, Stan Pottenger, is that correct? Virginia, correct. Manager and pursuant to those fee agreements, you understand that you could get a recovery of any money that you want in this case, correct? Virginia, correct. Manager and what percent is that? Virginia, I don't know off the top of my head. I think it's 40%. I'm not too sure to be honest. Manager, do you remember having any conversations

3:02with redacted about money that you hope to obtain from this case or from any other source related to this? Virginia, I remember talking to redacted as a girlfriend telling her what cases I was involved with. I don't believe we ever spoke about monetary settlements. There was no number that was ever mentioned. I told her that I was involved in these cases. And you know, it was just girlfriend talk between girlfriends. I never expected her to turn around and consort with the enemy. Manager, well, it's fair to say you do hope to make money from bringing this lawsuit, correct? Brad Edwards objects the form and then Virginia answers. I hope to win, but that's not the only reason I want to win. I want to see justice come through. Manager, is money one of the reasons you want to win? Edwards, same objection. Virginia, more than money. I want to see Glenn Maxwell and Jeffrey own up to what they have done and pay the price. Yes, manager, is money tight in your family?

4:05Virginia, we've been doing well. Manager, you've been doing well? Virginia, yes. Manager, what is your source of income right now? Virginia, my husband is the main source of income. He's the breadwinner and I'm a stay at home mom. Manager and what is his job? Virginia, redacted, manager, and how long has he had this job? Virginia, he got the job I believe in December or January, December, 2015 or January, 2016. I know he got the job and then we had to go through all these preliminary tests and everything to make sure you qualify. So manager and what is the last paid employment that you had? Virginia, the last paid employment that I had was there was that do you remember going back through the emails where I had the resume and I sent it out and they said, what time do you want to come in for an interview? I ended up getting that job there for two days because the place was disgusting and the boss was just horrible.

5:06I didn't get paid from them, but I got employed by them and other than that, the last time I worked was in and did in 2006 for ET Australia. Manager, did you quit that job after two days because the place was disgusting? Virginia, it was vile. Okay, they had the whole place was closed down, the restaurant was closed down for a period of like six months and he wanted me to go into this freezer area that had a dead rat in it and this thick, indicating layer of mold at the bottom and he wanted me to clean it. Manager, all right, Virginia and I was just like, no. Manager, just checking, did you quit or did he fire you? Virginia, no, I definitely walked out of that one, hands up. Manager, okay, I'm going to do one more document. I have very quickly, exhibit 21 marked. Manager, I'll show you Defendants exhibit 21, another composite exhibit. Do you recognize the two infroms on this email?

6:07Virginia to Sharon Churcher from myself, yes. Manager, and this is the same Sharon Churcher from the mail on Sunday. We were discussing earlier, Virginia, that's correct. Manager, and these are from February of 2011, correct? Virginia, yes. Manager, okay. Virginia, I mean, it's just assuming that we're not looking at Australian backward dates. Manager, okay, well, a few pages back where it says 219, 2011. Virginia, yeah. Manager, all right. If I could direct your attention to one of the pages, it's 3676 in the lower right hand corner. Virginia, 3676. Manager, now, these are in sequential order. They're not in bait stamp order, so you might have to look at the dates on the top to find one that's February 19th of 2011. Virginia, do you know what page it is? Brad Edwards, well, manager, it's almost in the middle. Brad Edwards, it's like she's saying is that

7:10manager interrupts them. If you look at the date at the top, Edwards interrupts her. If you look at it, it says 219, 2011. That's not it. It's like half a page, keep going. Virginia to 13, to 17, to 18, to 19, 2011. Manager, if it says 3676 in the lower right hand corner, Virginia, yes. Okay, is that an email that you sent to Sharon Churcher in response to an email that Sharon Churcher sent to you? Virginia, to Sharon Churcher from Jenna, subject RE received, yes. I tried to call and the line was busy. Could you call concerning the question you asked? Manager, all right, and that was in response to an email just below. You received from Sharon Churcher, Virginia, yes. Manager, and what did Sharon Churcher write you on February 19th of 2011? Virginia, do you know a redacted?

8:10Supposedly, JE purchased her at 14 from her family. Manager, okay, and then you asked her to call to discuss that, correct? Virginia, I tried to call, the line was busy. Could you call concerning the question you asked? Right, says manager, Virginia, yes. Manager, all right, defendants exhibit 22. Virginia, thank you, manager. Okay, do you recognize these series of emails? Virginia so far, I mean, it's definitely from me to her or actually Michael Thomas as a photographer that worked with her just to be clear. Manager, and is she one of the two, the recipients of the first page email? You and she received an email from Michael Thomas, is that right? Virginia, yes, manager, okay. Edwards interjects here, I think she wants you to look and make sure you recognize them. Manager, yeah, do you recognize the document, the emails? Virginia, like I said, these are back in 2011,

9:10but it's from my email address, I recognize that, I recognize Sharon's name and I recognize Michael Thomas. Manager, do you have any reason to doubt that the emails from March of 2011, Virginia? I don't have any. Manager, interrupts her from yourself and Miss Churcher are accurately reflected from the documents taken from your computer here. Virginia, I have no reason to doubt that. Manager, okay, exhibit 23 marked. Manager, defendants exhibit 23. Again, emails between your email address and Sharon Churcher from May of 2011. Do you recognize your email address? Virginia, yes, manager, and Sharon Churcher's email address? Virginia, yes, manager, and you're signing your emails to her, much love, exo, exo, Jenna, and she's signing her emails to you, love Shaza, correct? Virginia, correct, and Shaza is the name that you call her? Virginia, in Australia, we kind of shorten the names

10:13of people and put a Z or an A on the end, so yes. Manager, so she became Shaza? Virginia, yes, Shaza, correct. Manager, and do you recall having email communications with her in which you refer to her as Shaza and Virginia? Yes, manager, she referred to herself as Shaza? Virginia, she's the same person we're talking about, yes. Manager, all right, she's coming from her email address as Sharon Churcher, right? Virginia, yes, manager, all right. And I think the last bright Edwards interjects here, are you almost out of stopping point? Manager, almost, Edwards, okay, okay, I just have to make a quick call, but I can wait a while so manager interrupts, I understand, almost done. Edwards, okay, exhibit 24 marked. Manager, this is exhibit 24, emails between yourself and Sharon Churcher from June of 2011. Virginia, aha, manager, and again,

11:14Shaza and Jenna, Shaza, Jenna, Shaza, right? Virginia, yes, manager, and at the bottom of the first page is Sharon Churcher giving you advice regarding the purchase by Vanity Fair, redacted and redacted. Virginia, may I have time to read it please? Manager, please, Virginia, are we talking about the very bottom one or the one in the kind of middle bottom? Manager, the very bottom one, Virginia, I would let VF buy your pictures via Brad. The big gamble would be to let him also give them a statement. Manager, right? Virginia, the reason this is a gamble is Jeffrey Knows, some of the powerful people in publishing and once altered will inevitably try to scare off potential buyers. But the upside is, it should help you get a good agent. I would have Brad use the phrase sex traffic as that is the heads up about the book revealing more than be printed. Manager, all right, so is Sharon Churcher writing to you about actually its CC to Brad, correct?

12:17Virginia, yes, manager, and I only use Brad, not his last name, because it's Brad at pathtojustice.com, correct? Virginia, yes, manager, all right, and that's Brad Edwards who is sitting here. She's also recommending in the last line that you should have Brad use the phrase sex traffic, correct?

14:19Virginia, if a statement is made, yes, I don't think vanity fair ever did anyway. Manager and the picture that they're talking about, there is the one with redacted, correct? Virginia, that's yeah, the big one, manager. The one that was previously sold Virginia, yes, manager and Paulo Silva was syndicating that one, correct? Virginia, yeah, manager and on that second page, there's a redaction who who is in that redaction? Virginia, I have no idea, manager, you don't know, Virginia, no, I don't know, manager. So who are the two worlds most respected politicians redacted and who Virginia? I don't know, manager. Do you recall ever telling Sharon Churchill that you were trafficked to two of the worlds most respected politicians redacted and somebody else? Brad Edwards objects to form. Virginia, is that her wording? This is from her. So this is her wording, manager, right?

15:19Virginia, if she considered them to be the worlds most respected politicians, that would be her opinion, not mine. Manager, okay, but you received this email and responded to it, correct? Virginia is the top one above what I responded to. Sorry, it just confuses me because it goes upwards, doesn't it, not downwards? We're not reading chronologically down, are we? Manager, you can probably look at the dates and figure it out. I need you to do that, not me. Virginia, okay, the 30th of the 5th, 31st of the 5th, 6th of the 1st, right? So I still don't know who she's talking about there. Manager, you don't know if you received this email. Virginia, no, I received this email, obviously, but I don't know who's redacted there. Manager, okay, and in the email that you responded to, you're talking about you used redacted, correct? Virginia, it does concern me that they would want to write about me considering that redacted, walked into VF and threatened them,

16:20not to write sex trafficking articles about his good friend, J.E. Manager, right, does that refresh your memory that when you got this email, unredacted, redacted was included as well as redacted? Edwards object the form. Manager, in the line referred to as two of the world's most respected politicians. Virginia, it could be, but again, I would be making an assumption because I don't know who that name is. Manager, I don't know either. Virginia, okay, manager, maybe your lawyers can tell us. Manager, all right, last one, and then you can get your break. Exhibit 25, Mark. Manager, defendants exhibit 25. Again, emails to and from yourself and Sharon Churcher, correct? Virginia, yes, manager, and in this email, it's dated 412, 2015, on the first page of the composite email. Virginia, yes, manager, she is encouraging you to write a book. Virginia, as she has from the beginning, yes.

17:22Manager, right, and she suggested a Roman. Do you know what that means? Virginia, no, manager on the third back page, she wrote, you'd compliment you about David Boyz taking your case. Virginia looks through the document. Just reading about David Boyz, taking your case, how fantastic, Jenna, have you asked him how he'd feel about reviving your book? It would be an incredible shame if the other project lifts your story, which it could at least somewhat. Jared is still very keen to represent you. I'm afraid I screwed you by steering you to Mimi. I just had a great weekend in LA on celebrity story. Got to go to Rodeo Drive, much love, Shaza. Yes, manager, so she's encouraging you to have David Boyz also help you in the book writing department, right? Edwards again objects to the form here and says it mischaracterizes the exhibit. Virginia is the question pending, manager, yes. Virginia, she, yeah, she encouraged me to.

18:24I mean, once she saw that, you know, there was more litigation going on. She thought, like she says, how fantastic. And up until recently, she's still been trying to get me to get the book out. Manager and in May of 2015, do you, did you have any active agreements to publish your book? Virginia, in May of 2015, no. Jared wanted to do something again, but his only thing was he wanted Sharon to be in on it like as a ghost writer. And I said, look, Sharon is all well and good, but I don't want a journalist, you know, as they can twist things around writing my story. So he was like, well, I'm sorry. I don't want to work with you then. And I said, well, that's fine. No problem. Manager, do you, as you sit here today, have any agreement to publish your story and written form? Virginia, no, we have no agreement. Manager, do you have any agreement for anyone else to write your story? Virginia, no. Manager, have you got any ghost writers in the book?

19:25Virginia, besides Sandra, who I didn't like, no. Manager, all right, I think now is a good time for a break. So I think it's a good time for us to break as well.
