00Are you running for office and have a message you want every voter in your district to hear? Well, that's where radio comes in. Radio is your direct line to morning commuters, midday grinders, and late-nighters. Radio puts your message right where your voters are. Plus, it's one-tenth the time and cost of video. Don't just campaign, connect with millions all over the country, even thousands in the smallest communities with radio. Be on the air in just 48 hours. Visit winwithiHeart.com. That's winwithiHeart.com. I'm caught up in the game. My attention is on every play and every whistle, but what I'm missing is a signal coming from my kidneys. That signal isn't like a ref's whistle. It's more of a silent SOS, which could be warning me of an increased risk for events like heart attack or stroke. And a way I can catch that signal? A simple urine test called UACR. If you have type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure, talk to your doctor about the UACR test. Detect the SOS. Visit detecttheSOS.com to learn more.

24So over the weekend, there was a guardian article with Jack White. It drops Sunday night, I believe. And it was all about this new book that Jack White has coming out. It's called Jack White collected lyrics and selected writing volume 1. And this has all the lyrics that Jack White has written all the way from 97 to 2007. Also some poetry is written, all kinds of things. So it's a really good interview. Asked like, hey, when did you start writing poetry, who influenced you, inspired you, all kinds of things like that? But this was the question that got him in some trouble. Are any of your songs entirely autobiographical? And Jack answered, now it's become very popular in the Taylor Swift way of pop singers,

29writing about all of their publicly aired breakups, which I don't find interesting at all. Now he continues, but that doesn't matter in this day and age, because that is the one quote that this author went with to promote this interview. He got Taloriko. And so now the Swiftie see that they're pissed. They're like, you're calling Taylor Swift boring. You don't like her songwriting. Oh my god, how dare you, how dare you attack our queen. Now let me just say the rest of this quote before I get into his response to all the Swiftie hate out there. So he ends up, yeah, I don't find that interesting at all, right? That way of writing. They said, I think it's a little bit boring for me to write about myself. If it's something painful, I'm not going to put that important painful thing. I went through out there for some idiot to listen to it, stop all over it. So he said, there's a percentage of that into what I do, that he morphs into somebody else's character. He likes to put himself in someone else's shoes for his style of writing,

32which his style of writing, he's a very blues rock artist. That's what blues artists do. Kind of, they do this persona and they write that way. So that's just his style of doing things and Swifties, they didn't see the rest of that. Okay, they didn't read the entire article. I bet they could have seen all of that and they still would have just taken out the one thing and swarmed many of them don't know how to read. That's a great point. Kevin Turner said that. I did not understand it. So Monday nights, he posts this long thing on Instagram and I want to read all of it because it is very, the whole thing is very important, but I'll get through as much as I can here. Putting this up for a day and then taking it down just to put this to bed. Jack wide is pissed. He's done with it. I didn't say that I think Taylor Swift's music was boring or whatever clickbait the net is trying to scrape together. What I was trying to say in an interview I did about poetry and lyric writing was that I don't find it interesting at all for

33me in all caps to write about myself in all caps in my own lyric writing and poetry because I think it would be repetitive for me again in all caps to always write about and it could be uninteresting for people who listen to my music to delve into. He said Taylor and other singers have tremendous success writing in their own styles and I am very happy for them that they have succeeded in engaging with so many music lovers in their own way just because I say I have a way of doing things that doesn't mean that I think that everyone should do it the same way they should do it works for them and there you go. Agreed. Yeah. You know the last Taylor Swift record that came out I didn't listen to it much at all, but I did listen to it in the car with my wife. I probably have heard the whole record one and a half times, you know, not all in one sitting just a different times. And one of the comments I made to my wife while we were driving is I'm having a hard time

37with this because I can't really relate to anything she's writing about. You're not a teen girl. Exactly. And I'm not I'm not saying that I'm not saying it sucks take it off. I'm just saying I'm having a hard time relating this. I have a I'm a lifelong hip-hop fan. It's very rare that there's 18 and 19 year old rappers that I'm digging because they're writing me and my son love rap and we don't like the same stuff. Right. And so that's exactly what he's saying. I'm not saying Taylor Swift sucks. I'm just saying I can't really relate to this record because of what the stuff that she's writing about is so foreign to me. I'm having a hard time going there. Everything in for everybody varieties of spice life. There's something out there for everyone, but nothing's going to be universal. And it would be weird for Jack White to write about some breakup he had. That's just not who he's ever been. But also if he were to do it, he would do it in a he wouldn't do it in a literal way. Right. Right. Yeah. Exactly. But like I can tell you from having a daughter that listened to all that Taylor Swift stuff growing up, it's like my daughter was

38hanging on every one of those words. Yeah. That meant a lot to her. All right. There you have it. There's Christina's cookie jar coming up next. Let's go around the wildlife. A Texas lady is attacked by a wild animal. We got the story. We'll have it for you next on the eagle. You know who's listening to the radio? Voters. Lots of them. So if you're running for office, this right here. Great place to reach them. And it's not like social media where people are just swiping through ads with radio. They're engaged. Plus it's one tenth the time and cost of video. Don't just campaign. Connect with millions all over the country. Even thousands in the smallest communities with radio. Call now and be on the air in just 48 hours. 844, 844 iHeart. That's 844, 844 iHeart.
