About this episode
In this episode of Created for Christ’s Work, we dive into Romans 7:15–20 (NLT), where Paul honestly shares his struggle with sin. Even as a follower of Christ, he wrestled with the tension between his new nature in Christ and the pull of his old sinful nature.
The truth is—the struggle is real for all of us. Like Paul, we may find ourselves doing what we do not want to do, and failing at what we deeply desire to do for God. Yet, this struggle is not meant to shame us. Instead, it reminds us that we cannot overcome in our own strength. Victory comes through Christ, who has already secured our freedom.
As believers, we have the power of the Holy Spirit living within us. We are no longer bound by sin—we are free to live fully in the grace and strength of Christ. The struggle is real, but so is the victory.
Takeaway: You may wrestle, but you are not powerless. Christ’s work in you is greater than the battle within you.
