Noah Chlor joins John Favreau and Dave Filoni on the script. This film serves as a sequel to the Disney Plus series that ran for three seasons from 2019 to 2023. It hits theaters on May 22, 2026. Chlor previously penned all seven episodes of the Book of Boba Fett with Favreau. He also co-wrote an episode in the Mandalorian's third season. Favreau is directing the movie from their combined script, while he and Filoni produce it alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Ian Bryce. Fans had mixed feelings about those earlier projects.
