The Light Gets In: Lessons from a Potter - October 26, 2025

About this episode

Nancy Reid-McKee, Guest Minister

Nancy Philip, Worship Associate

After 50 years of throwing clay on a pottery wheel I have learned how art can be a practice of meditation and grounding, and I have learned to let go of perfection. One of the most important lessons has been the beauty found in our flawed and broken pieces.

Rev. Nancy Reid-McKee was the minister at Northlake UU Congregation in Kirkland, WA until she retired last year. She now serves as the Chair of the Unitarian Universalist Association's Commission on Social Witness, and is an Organizer with the JUUstice Washington State Action Network, focusing on Gender and Reproductive Justice.
