The US and Israel's military operation against Iran has gone on for 12 days now. Earlier today, the UK's maritime agency says three ships were hit by projectiles near the straight of Ramos. Iran is saying it launched its most intense operation since the fighting began a three-hour bombing of US and Israeli targets overnight.
Meantime President Trump in Kentucky praising the economy in a speech that sounded much like a campaign rally type speech. And hebron Kentucky said his big beautiful bill that was passed includes the biggest tax cuts in history. That means every extra hour you work your overtime pay is now 100% tax free of no tax. Remember that when you go and vote as the Democrats want to end it. He also says American 401Ks have increased by $35,000 on average. House Republicans are considering a second massive spending package ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Republicans have been looking to strengthen their economic messaging on issues of voter concern like rising grocery prices, gas costs, inflation. However, passing another mega bill would be an uphill climb involving an ambitious timeline as well as plenty of compromise to get near unanimous support for the provisions in the bill. One of the suspects accused of tossing improvised explosive devices at an New York City protest apparently bought items for the explosives at a Philadelphia suburb. Video shows Amir Balot inside Phantom Fireworks in Pendle, Pennsylvania on March 2, where the company's vice president has confirmed he bought a 20-foot roll of fuse. He and Ibrahim Khayoumi are being held on federal terrorism related charges in connection with Saturday's protest outside the home of New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani.
The criminal complaint accuses the Bucks County PA man of attempting to detonate the IEDs to kill people and admitting that they were inspired by ISIS. In New York, I'm Scott Pringle. New York City could be the first in the nation to have a $30 per hour minimum wage. The City Council is considering it. It wouldn't be an immediate mopping pay, but if approved companies with 500 employees or more would have to pay workers 30 bucks an hour by the year 2030 under the proposal companies with fewer than 500 employees would have until the year 2032 to match the increase. Proponents of the bill say it's one way to address the city's affordability crisis. Business leaders say it would harm small businesses, but unions say they will push for the legislation. Currently, the highest hourly minimum wage in the U.S. City is Tukwila, Washington at 2165. March is national peanut month and a dietician is highlighting the health benefits of peanuts. Dr. Christian Kirkpatrick with the Cleveland Clinic says peanuts have healthy fats, protein and fiber.
So they really are a nutritional powerhouse. They're highly versatile and they've got a lot of nutrients that are really things that we don't get enough of. So specifically folate, magnesium, vitamin A. It also lowers bad cholesterol, at least it can help with that.
