Iran has named Maushtaba Homanie, the country's new Supreme Leader. Homanie is the son of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Homanie, who was killed last month after a series of large-scale US and Israeli missile strikes carried out against targets in Iran. He was selected by Iran's Assembly of Experts, an 88-member body of elected senior clerics.

1:03President Trump said Thursday he must be involved in the appointment and that the choice of Maushtaba was unacceptable to him. The US ambassador to the United Nations says the US is seeing tremendous success in military operations against Iran. Mike Walts spoke with ABCs this week. In terms of our military objectives, the president is right. We are not only ahead of schedule, we are winning. When asked how long the operations will take, Walts said the president is focused on an Iran that could no longer pose a threat to Americans or its allies. A 7th US service member has died as a part of Operation Epic Fury. According to US Central Command, the service member was seriously injured during an attack on US troops in Saudi Arabia on March 1 and succumbed to his injuries. The IED devices ignited outside Gracie Mansion in New York City on Saturday afternoon were real and highly dangerous, certainly Kessler with the latest. Police Commissioner Jessica Tish says those IEDs could have caused serious injury or death.

This year's celebration pays special tribute to the Reverend Jesse Jackson who died last month at the age of 84. Today is International Women's Day. It's also the 115th year the day has been celebrated. This year's theme is give to gain and encourages generosity and collaboration. Organizers are asking people to celebrate the day by sharing their pictures on social media with the hashtag give to gain. Wendy's is launching an effort to hire a chief tasting officer. Tasty details from Mark Mayfield. The fast food chain is looking to find someone to share content about its food online. Wendy's officials say they want someone with a human mouth, a pulse, opinions, creativity and taste to share videos and posts on social media related to the company. 4:18Officials with Brigham Young University say they've decided to admit nine students who were mistakenly sent acceptance letters. The prospective students received what they thought was good news only to later be told that they had not actually been accepted.
