President Trump spoke by phone today with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss the conflict in the Middle East. According to a Downing Street spokesperson, the two leaders talked about military cooperation in support of the self-defense of partners in the region. Today's call comes as additional U.S. Air Force planes arrived at Royal Air Force bases in England.

1:03Yesterday, Trump publicly expressed disappointment with Starmer's decision not to join U.S. strikes against Iran. Iran's foreign minister is rejecting calls for a ceasefire in the Middle East as the conflict rages on for a second week. Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press, Abbas Arochi, said his country will continue to defend itself for the sake of its people. They have to explain why they started this aggression before we come to the point to even consider a ceasefire. Nobody wants to continue this war. This is not our war. This is not the war of our choice. He accused the U.S. and Israel of killing Iranian people and students along with attacking hospitals. Iran's foreign minister said today air strikes on oil facilities in Tehran, released hazardous materials and toxic substances into the air and day drink civilians. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is calling on President Trump to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The New York Democrat urged immediate action to deal with soaring gas prices due to the Middle East conflict.

Schumer says multiple presidents from both parties have used the SPR during global disruptions to keep prices down. He also took aim at Trump saying the military action against Iran have made costs unaffordable for American families. AAA is reporting the national average is now $3.45 a gallon that's up from yesterday's 3.41. I'm Lisa Carton. The NYPD is searching for the three suspects behind the fatal shooting of a teen in Brooklyn Friday night. Lisa Selvati with more. Police say it happened just before midnight near 46th Street and 9th Avenue in Sunset Park. Cops say 14-year-old Jahari Cantave was inside a car with a driver when three people wearing ski masks came up to the car and started arguing with him. Cantave was shot in the head. ABC7 reports the victim was being driven home by his friend's father when he was shot.

3:10His friend's father told ABC7 he was following his son's moped when the suspects started harassing his son. It's unclear if Cantave was the intended target. I'm Lisa Selvati in New York. There are still heavy hearts on the University of Colorado campus after the loss of football player Dominic Ponder who died last Sunday in a single car crash. At an on-campus memorial, head coach Dion Sanders remembered Ponder. Ponder was chosen to bring you together. Ponder died after he lost control of his car, crashed through a guardrail and slid down an embankment. The Colorado State Patrol is still investigating the crash but says speed was likely a factor. Ponder was 23 years old. Frito Lay is recalling Miss Vicki's spicy dill pickle potato chips in six states. The FDA says the voluntary recall is due to undeclared milk that could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

4:14The recall of the eight ounce bag of chips include the jalapeno-flavored potato chips and was issued on Wednesday after a consumer contacted the company. Frito Lay said the product is safe to consume unless the consumer has a dairy allergy or sensitivity to milk. The products were sold in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas on January 15th. I'm Lisa Cardin.
