President Trump says the United States will hit Iran very hard today. Speaking at a Latin American leader summit in Florida, the president added to his earlier post that the strikes on Iran had to be done and that he did the world of favor. The president again said Iran was close to obtaining nuclear weapons.

He said his administration is trying to keep casualties to a minimum. The bodies of six American soldiers killed during Operation Epic Fury arrived back in the U.S. today. President Trump and other senior officials took part in the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. Prior to departing for Dover, the president spoke about the fallen. Very sad situation. To greet the families of the heroes coming home from Iran, coming home in a different manner than they thought they'd be coming home. But they're great heroes in our country. All six service members were based in Des Moines, Iowa. Kuwait is confirming reports it has cut back oil and refinery production. Today's announcement by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation cited disruptions in shipping activity through the Strait of Hormuz. A Hall County Georgia school teacher dies after teens allegedly roll his house with toilet paper. Scott Kimball reports. The Hall County Sheriff's Office says a group

of teens rolled the home of 40-year-old Jaden Hughes. They say when Hughes came out of the home to confront the teens, the group got into two vehicles to leave the scene. As the teens were driving off, they say Hughes tripped in the road and was run over by a pickup truck driven by 18-year-old Jaden Wallace. He later died at a hospital. Hughes was a math teacher and golf coach at North Hall High School. I'm Scott Kimballer. Frito Lay is recalling Miss Vicki's spicy dill pickle potato chips in six states. The FDA says the voluntary recall is due to undeclared milk that could cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. The recall of the eight ounce bags of chips include the jalapeno-flavored potato chips. I'm Rob Artear. Texas Republican Congressman Tony Gonzalez is no longer running for re-election. Lisa Taylor reports. It comes following calls to resign over an affair with a former staffer who later died by suicide. Tom Yamis with more. Gonzalez made the announcement after he faced growing pressure from his colleagues, including top Republicans in the house this week.

He says he plans to finish out the rest of his term. In a statement on X, Gonzalez said that after deep reflection and with support of his family, he will not seek re-election during an interview with conservative talk show host Joe Pags. Gonzalez said he made a mistake and had a lapse in judgment. The congressman said he has since reconciled with his wife and asked God to forgive him, which he said he has. Regina Santos Avila died in September of last year after setting herself on fire. I'm Lisa Taylor. California has seen its largest spike in gas prices since the start of the conflict in Iran. Here's Jason Nathanson with more. The cost of a gallon of regular gas up 17 cents in California overnight, according to AAA. The price is now above $5 a gallon to 508. And more than 15 counties in the state crossed the $5 mark overnight, including Los Angeles Orange County, San Diego, San Jose, Riverside, Ventura, and Oakland. California has seen a more than $0.40 jump in the past week. Analysts put most of the blame on the fighting in the Middle East. And according to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gas is $3.41.

Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Illinois, and Pennsylvania have an average price of $3.46 and higher. The mega millions jackpot is now well past the half billion dollar mark. There was no grand prize winner on Friday night. So the jackpot jumps to an estimated $533 million. The next drawing takes place Tuesday. Woodford reserves 2026 Kentucky Derby bottle is being released. The artwork on the annual bottle this year is titled Dress to Impress 152. It's a tribute to Kentucky Derby fashion. I'm Rob Barter.
