US ambassador to the UN, Mike Walts says overnight strikes on Iran were meant to ensure the Iranian regime cannot threaten the world with a nuclear weapon. Speaking at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, Walts defended Operation Epic Fury.

Meanwhile, emergency service workers in Israel are reporting that at least one person in Tel Aviv was killed from the impact of an Iranian ballistic missile. The Israel Defense Forces say many of Iran's incoming missiles were intercepted by air defenses, limiting damage and preventing a higher toll. The Iran government is reporting that more than 200 people have been killed and hundreds injured from the US Israeli operation. The New York City Police Department is boosting patrols despite no credible threats reported in the city. There is a large presence of officers today throughout the five boroughs, especially at diplomatic missions, synagogues and mosques. 2:04cultural and government sites across the state. A large study in the US found that eating red meat in large amounts may be linked to a higher risk of developing diabetes. The study also found that substituting red meat with plant-based proteins or other healthier protein could reduce the risk by as much as 14%. The results were published in the British Journal of Nutrition. I'm Rob Martyr. A man is behind bars on suspicion of poisoning a couple with bug spray in California. Timothy Bradbury is accused of spraying raid bug spray on his roommates' food at their home in Santa Clarita north of Los Angeles. He was arrested on Tuesday after the alleged victims showed surveillance footage to LA County Sheriff's Deputies. It appears to show Bradbury in the act of using the bug spray while wearing a gas mask. The alleged target say husband and wife say they've had numerous illnesses and emergency room visits with chest and stomach pain. They had that Bradbury has been tormenting them for months. He was arrested after a two-hour standoff at the home he shared with the couple. The Kentucky Meat Shower Festival

3:04is making its return this weekend. The event celebrates this year being the 150th anniversary of the Kentucky Meat Shower, which took place on March 3, 1876. It happened near Olympia in Bath County when chunks of red meat mysteriously fell from the sky. The cause of which has never been explained. Today, a festival to celebrate the event and learn about its history will take place in Owingsville. Southern California is closing out February with a heat wave and record temperatures. Downtown Los Angeles, parts of Orange County, even Big Bear broke records on Friday.
