Andrews was a working-class woman from Northern England who landed a dream job in 1988 as personal dresser to Sarah, Duchess of York. She rose quickly in royal circles, rubbing shoulders with the elite and even glimpsing Princess Diana. But her story took a tragic turn, ending in a murder conviction. Andrews grew up in a tough home with arguing parents, which left her with deep fears of abandonment. She transformed herself for the job, ditching her northern accent for polished speech and embracing 80s glamour. She became close to the Duchess, handling her wardrobe during a time of heavy media scrutiny. Yet beneath the fairy tale, personal struggles simmered, fueling unstable relationships.
