3:06start right out. This is Cass County, Minnesota. The Sherri Porns residents at Bears are entering homes and roaming campgrounds. What we know as Sherri P's says it now their law enforcement agencies have recently responded to increased bear activities and encounters. No injuries reported so far is that accurate? And well his image went away. Are you back Bruce? Yeah that would go out. Well I don't know. You were gone a little bit there. So the Sherri's reporting no injuries or damage at the moment? No, well yeah they didn't get into details three separate instances of bears entering occupied

4:06homes. God how many times have we talked about that? Bears entering a tent at a campground. Bear vehicle crashes involving bears bears getting into garbage and attempting to access garbage. Bears damaging vehicle while attempting to get into a rear to Tana cover bears repeatedly hanging around residential properties while searching for food. So once again we've covered this over and over and oh one thing I wanted to mention everybody September we are now in September September is the most deadliest month for grizzly bear attacks. So everybody please be aware and wow I got some information coming up on that. But anyway so and I don't know why they're not just live trapping and euthanizing these

5:08bears because once they break into a home they're never going to stop. They're just going to keep on breaking in breaking in breaking in until somebody gets killed. So you have no choice as soon as they enter a home you have to take them out. It's the only public safety thing you can do. It is absolutely. You ready to move into the next one sir? Next we go to New Mexico. Wildlife officials confirmed several bears have been captured in Elba curky and they have been euthanized. So they're doing it right they're not playing games in New Mexico and that's the safest thing for the general public says the bears have become habituated to finding food and water and populated areas. Now get this they tried after being relocated some of traveled more than 30 miles in a week

6:13to return to the homes and dumpsters that they're originally trapped at. So this is I've done a lot of study on this and most 90% of relocated bears die within seven months. To a year it's just absolutely insane. It's just a waste of money I call it feel good nonsense. Well anyway that's what have I knew when you when people who don't understand bear behavior or in charge of of the bears that's what happens isn't it? Yes sir it's just we have a maturity problem and folks want to stay in the child like we can save all the animals and they don't understand there's just not enough room for all these animals. Anyways back to their DNR is called Department of Wildlife how many bears have been euthanized

7:17and they did not directly answer the question which I can understand because they have these immature children that are posing as adults given a malkinesa backlash on social media so you know they're being more cost it is but the department's warning residents that unscured trash pet food and bird feeders falling a rotten fruit can attract bears and teach them to associate people with food. I saw a really good one on this a TV news station did it and they said one of the easiest things average person can do is buy a bungee cord and go from a handle over the top of your lid and your trash can to the other handle. There you go. Because what bears learn yep they're they knock the can over and everything falls out with a

8:18typical lid with that bungee cord it's cheap what two dollars for a bungee cord it keeps the bears out and if you have bears coming in it then I just talked to a bear biologist and he was telling me I was saying these bird feeders keep getting attracted and it goes yeah those bears think it's a bear feeder not a bird feeder so when you have bears coming in around and you're hearing that it's a good time of year just take your bird feeders inside because it's just a big feeder in the tracks and and once you stop feeding them out there they're going to start coming into your trash and then when they can't get into your trash then they're going to break into your home. So you also the public has to be proactive too. Absolutely. Ready to move on to the next one sir?

9:21Yes sir and this is another meme that I found to remind everybody that buffaloes are not big fuzzy cows that you can pet. This one's got a big bull buffalo he's got a pair of bloody blue jeans stuck on his horn and it says now you know why we affectionately referred to Iowans as idiots out wandering around and I guess that's an inside joke whoever posted the meme that I stalled. But yeah folks remember you know buffaloes are very dangerous you're dealing with a 1600 pounded two thousand pound animal and that can run three times faster than you so you don't want to end up flying through the air and getting busted ribs and broken skull when you bounce off the ground so please be careful and stay away from them.

10:26A good distance is a hundred yards you want to be back from them. Don't try to get that perfect selfie next to them so you can brag to your friends. That's how you end up in the hospital. That's right that's right so please don't do that. You also is famous for people are approaching buffalo and getting messed up aren't they sir? Yes sir it's uh I actually feel sorry for the park rangers there they have to deal with all these uh city folks are coming and just they don't have any common sense it kind of reminds me a couple of years ago somebody posted a comment sent into the National Park Service and one of the comments was we drove all this way and we came to see bears and we didn't see bears in the morning we didn't see bears in the afternoon we didn't see bears in the evening so please park officials

11:28train the bears better to come out so we can see you. That reminds me of a woman called into a talk radio show and she was upset that the the deer crossing was at a place where deer kept getting hit so she uh was asking that the highway to park move the deer crossing sign so the deer would would cross and they say for a place. You probably find it on YouTube it's really funny. Yeah it came make it up. Anyway what's next thing any lesser? Oh now we go back through New Mexico. So cedar cross the man was bitten by a bear while walking his dog. I thought he'd say the injuries were hurt. Here we go again. Nine life threatening and more details on the encounter or pending and of course nothing new

12:31is really the east but this is usual folks when you're out walking your dogs I guess the new thing is you got to be armed if it's even legal if you're in the city I guess you'll the only other thing you could do is carry bear spray or a big Rambo knife it's getting so ridiculous. Anyways your dog if he's off police we talked about this several times he's a big attractor because when he gets in trouble he's running back to you and the the bears like that gang that's coming to beat up your friend and he runs to you for help. You're you're involved now and the bear is going to attack so this is another reason you folks walking your dogs you got to be prepared and obviously I don't know anything about cedar cross but I'm assuming it's fairly decent size populated area and it doesn't mean you're safe because these animals are

13:39lost their fear of man and more and more coming in right on top of us. That's right and one of our goals here at our begin with a show with Bucshaud is to inform people of these dangers so they can make appropriate decisions and be safe correct. Yes our goal is to keep people from getting injured or killed so you know we got to start doing proactive stuff and like I said on the bird feeders and the garbage and even pet food you know people feed their dogs on their back porch and I understand you want to keep the mess out there especially the bigger dogs are kind of messy eaters and you know I understand but you're just putting out a big invitation because the bear doesn't know it's dog food you know they can't read a sign says leave the dog food alone it's for the dog only.

14:40That's right. And oh my god we got to go to Colorado next. Oh right what's in Colorado let's hear it. Colorado bear encounters have nearly doubled over 2025. Rodriguez bears are flipping dumpsters this is my favorite. Invading luxury motel hotels and even roaming as far northeast as weld county I have no idea where that is but it says from January 1st August 13th Colorado's parks and wildlife received 6,000 129 reports of bear sightings and conflicts. That's up from 3,100 and 15 during the same time frame last year. That's almost a complete 100% increase I mean wow.

15:42So close to Denver Jefferson County leads back with 328 followed by Douglas County at 282 Boulder at 186 clear creek 43. So the interesting number of bear encounters have increased and have decreased several mountain communities and why is because the bad snowpack this year the low water that they had a huge crop failure that natural foods for the bears isn't there so they're wandering further and further and if you look up bears in luxury hotel and the reason I'm laughing is the bear walks into this motel in or hotel and it's got wide open doors I guess or automatic open doors he comes in and he's just walking around the hotel like he's a guest and he goes up and he

16:45finds they had like a bowl of M&Ms for the guest so the bear says oh thank you very much for the M&Ms so yeah to forgive me I found that quite humorous it is humorous it is absolutely humorous these bears they'll be ever sometimes to be pretty funny candidate yeah it's it's hilarious and that's the thing with black bears we talked about a lot you know a lot of times they're just clowns and you can yell at them and they'll run off and it's no big deal and that's where people get the impression that you know I've seen hundreds of bears I've chased them off and there's nothing to worry about well they forget all the attacks that happen and for instance this reporter and I got to give him credit he says in July I was in a car camping outside an air being in the carbendale while we're porting the story and was walking out at 5 a.m. to sounds of a bear

17:49flipping a full dumpster I watched as the animal played soccer with a separate bear resistant trash can so you remember we were talking strapped the lids on so he couldn't get into it so he was just macking it around unable to scrounge any food from both the lock bins he walked over and he said to this day the thought of seeing the bear through my back passenger window still makes my palm sweat I bet I bet absolutely so I thought that was a real good one and here's one that's truly truly a rare attack and it Arctic Park closes trail after a wolf attack and this is typical why it gets so frustrated with reporters and the National Park Service of Canada said it

25:25for close to trail described the incident as a defense encounter here we go my favorite saying a woman suffered non-life threatening injuries Monday when she was attacked by a black bear while hiking with her dogs on a trail near Jackson officials reported the incident result from a surprise encounter with a presumed black bear with at least one cub on the history trail on Teton pass according to Wyoming game and fish department she was well prepared and successfully deployed bear spray during the incident following the encounters she was able to walk back to the trail head and was subsequent I can't portray it as the local hospital for her injuries so she was able to walk out maybe this was a little minor non-life threatening and I'm sure she was

35:04at least a six inch blade if you get something on you to be able to penetrate deep enough to be able to toward or kill an animal if you had to fight it off hand to hand uh you know just that's just my opinion and uh from the research that i've done but if you're a woman and you're going to use bear spray you should find the bear spray that has the highest level of cap sason that you can find uh that's uh you want the highest level of cap sason that you can find in the bear spray uh just just the information stuff there but i also got a little quick story one time there was a problem bear out where we lived and that bear uh broke into one of my freezers that i had uh feed stored in an old non-using non-running freezer that i stored grain in

36:06for the chickens and the goats and stuff like that and we when they it was plump full but when that bear it was a grizzly but when that bear got done we i went in there and kind of high-balled and double checked how much each one would take out of there uh bucket and that bear ate at least of one whole five gallon bucket and a half at one feeding uh just i mean literally he tore the latch off of the freezer and got into that feed so they could smell it even with a latch on it it wasn't a lockable latch uh that's what i've been it back and replaced it with two lockable latches but uh the uh the uh bear people don't understand that how hungry these things are going and how much food they put away uh in the fall before they go into hibernation because

37:10that's when it was your comments you you said something very important the uh i'll get back to the knives but right now on the feed there it it's called hyperphasia and what they're doing is they're feeding up to 20 hours a day some researchers say up to 24 hour day after day because it got to put on the needed fat and they're consuming 20 thousand calories a day so what you say matches perfectly it's in the fall and for the knives i definitely want it you know some of those rambo knives that's got all the notches in the top you don't want that you want it smooth on top so and the reason why is because you're going to stab them and bury it all the way to the hilt and you've got to be able to pull it back out to keep stabbing them just stabbing them once not

38:12going to work you're going to have to hit them as many times as you can until he's dead or he leaves whichever it comes first and yes a six inch blade blade not overall length so overall length would be about nine inches you want a six inch blade to a nine ten inches overall and you want something with a tang on it so and the reason for that is to stop your hand from slipping especially after the first one because the blood gets on your hand and you get slippery and then you'll slide and cut your own hand up if you hit a bone and it stops so it's real important to get those make sure you get the right knife with a full tang across the top and the bottom to keep your hand from moving forward that's my big recommendation and I prefer a rubber handle to knife with a lot of corrugation on it you know stifling is what I've I've found through gotten many animals

40:21you know that with the handle to the sides style doors lock your doors and another one that I just read was lock your windows because bears are figuring out how to open up windows so that's and of course they'll break through the window if they have to but you got to remember these are intelligent animals and they got a dry deed a lot of food and we're in that you know black bears grizzly bears right now we're in the peak when they're they're putting it on this month and next month and about halfway through November's when they typically start denning it all depends of course on the winner I'm just giving you a general outlook absolutely not okay what's what's next year listen I just had to include this story it wasn't actually attacked but it was so wild I had to include it a high school football player in Arkansas

41:28was practicing he's wearing a helmet and he's feeling all this movement so he stops and he takes the helmet over to assistant coach and he's like there's something wrong with this helmet there's something inside I can feel that movement so I want you to think about this I want you to visualize it here's this high school kid 1617 he's wearing his helmet and he can feel something moving and and he's like something mate right here so he takes it over the coach and what do they find a two foot long cotton mouth was discovered behind the pattern oh my if you go to the look you can see the video they got a video of this two foot long cotton mouth and he wouldn't come out they got a expert on handle and snakes there and the only way they could get him to come

46:48and she killed it you got to read the story it's unbelievable you want to look that one up you find it really I have it you have it I have it it's in the book for seconds until impact I actually have the picture of the bear and I have the picture of the bear skull showing where the bullets from her 22 hid it you see her rifle it was duct tape together I know and it was little tiny thing it looked like today's cricket you know the 22th cricket like it made 1930 or something a little bolt action rifle but it's an outstanding story you ought to put that one out nobody should do that yeah it's got blitz in your book that is a great story one other thing I've heard because I've been cruising around all these different places about bear sex and stuff it's they're starting
