2:04My mom and dad still have several albums of photos of us as kids, but I don't have a photo album. I have one that I had in college that I stuffed from pictures of college, but that's it because everything else is always on our phones now. And now people have these digital photo frames where you can upload thousands of pictures and they'll just cycle through them. But I found myself, because I've done this recently, is I've gone through on my phone and found pictures that I liked and I get them printed out at Walgreens or wherever, you know, CVS, something like that. You go and pick them up and put them in an actual frame. And I wonder how common that is anymore. I don't think it is common because the only photo albums we may have more, but we have the ones from our wedding on display. We have a we have a curio cabinet that we have four different albums in display in there. Two from the wedding I think and one leading up and one of the honeymoon or something like

3:07that. But yeah, all the other photos that I have printed out, I think I just haven't scattered out somewhere though. Some in frames, of course, we have a lot of frame pictures in our house, a lot way too many. But it's a ton of frame pictures, but they have like the collage type of, yeah, and I've got a couple like that where there's like seven pictures and one, essentially one frame or whatever we have. We have one with like 10 when we went to Dubai. We took a lot of really cool pictures from there and we have those hanging up. Yeah. We just had the photo shoot of the wedding party and I was thinking the same time saying, man, I want these printed out not just on my phone. So maybe I'll go get that printed out and put it in an actual, actual physical album and have it somewhere at the house. But then I wonder how often people are going through those because I remember when I was growing up, of course, especially when you're high school, if you had a girl come over to the house, you know, oh, here's what I was as a little kid and this one went to Disney or whatever it was. And I sometimes now wonder in photos, when you go back through and if you have photo

4:08albums and you look through those, how much of your memory is from what you saw in photos that you know you were at and you're, does that make sense when I'm saying like you see the image of the photo. So you know you were there and you have all these memories from photos about stuff that maybe you don't have the recall on otherwise. It's like your brain builds the rest of the story, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Now we had them at my parents home in the living room, the room that you really, you weren't allowed to sit in unless you had company, we had that living room and I know it was the table in the, I don't know if it was a coffee table, just a table that was displayed and there was a glass top, but the bottom had like four picture frames and one of the photo albums, not picture frames, I'm sorry, photo albums and one of the photo albums had my dad's initials, my mom's initials and then me and my older sister, I guess they got that book a long time ago before a younger sister was born and they put our initials on

5:10it and that was really cool. I would go in there every nine and it just flipped through that probably 50,000 times when I was at the house, but they don't have those displayed anymore and I will bet you if I go over there and say, hey, where's that, where are the four albums that we had in the living room? They're probably hold up in some closet, but I love to go check them out again, but I just, with the digital era, man, you just go to your phone, I don't think a lot of people will have just a photo album out where you can go and thumb through it, but you wouldn't be, I would imagine most of us would not give our, like, have somebody come over to house me, hey, man, look to my phone and check out my pictures, you know, like nobody would do that. No, you've got, because you curate them for your photo album that we used to have, but now, I mean, I've got pictures on my phone of the dumbest crap that of beer and stuff that who wants to see that? No one. I, this is going to sound old man, but it's who I am. I just figured out how you can make the collection of photos on your phone to where if I wanted to hand this to you, you could do that.

6:11You're not going through all of my pictures. I have this collection and I did that with the, with the photo shoot that we just took of the wedding party. So if you, if you said, hey, man, I want to see pictures of that. I don't have to give you my phone and you're just scrolling through and then all of a sudden you'll see, you know, my taco meat or something. It's just that collection, that album that I put you on my phone. And if you're on an iPhone, like it'll, it'll curate certain collections for you. Like it'll do your trips, like you went to the Bahamas, even certain people, which is great. If you have kids sometimes, it gets a little weird because they'll start putting the boy and the girl on the same, the same thing. It's four years difference. Yes, we're just looking at it like the last photo and it's not even a photo that I took. Like I took a screenshot this morning of the, my app for my ordering because I got such crappy sleep that I wanted to save that for some, I don't know. And that's my last photo. Like I'm not going to print that out or put it in a frame and now we have all these not. But you'll go back and delete that and I've been in the habit now of going through making

7:13sure that if I have duplicates or a photo that I know, I just took like a something because I, I used to send that to you all the time so I wouldn't forget photos that I would take of some image I saw something sports or something. And then I'll go back, oh, we talked about that. So I'll just delete it. I've been really trying to be conscious about deleting these photos because it's a lot. We don't do, we don't do the photo album per se. But for the last seven, eight years, we've been doing a calendar album for my like parents. Yeah, that makes sense. A good idea. It gives you a reason to go back through all of your pictures and it has that vibe and you get to print it out. It's something they can hold. And then so like every time I go over there, she's got this big stack of six, seven, eight, like album calendars that we just will flip through and it's a, it's the best. Yeah, we do have a family calendar. I didn't get one this year for some reason. My sister usually takes the photos and she prints it out. And it's a Christmas gift from my mom to her sisters because we take the photos that

8:14Thanksgiving over my aunt's house. Yeah. And I'll usually get one and I didn't. But I usually have that hanging up and it's, you know, it's really cool. I can't throw them away. No, you definitely can't throw them away. Yeah, I have one from like 2021 and it's, I'm not going to throw it. So I don't know if you consider that a photo album. It's not. It's a calendar. But each month has different pictures, different group of pictures because my birthday's in August. So I'm going to do it on the August and you know, stuff like that. And some years I'll go a little bit harder and put like, like grab everybody's birthdays and put those in there with a photo on the day. Right. That takes a lot of effort. Right. You don't need that every year. But it goes back to. After it's fun. We were talking about this with Gordon last week. When we threw up the signal and he comes in Gordon Keith from the musers, of course they're on vacation this week. So we won't have him in tomorrow. But. Oh, Davey. Davey will be all right. Well, maybe we can put the signal up for Davey. And we were talking about how we, we take photos of everything now. And it's because we have a camera in our hands. Right. And it didn't just used to be that way. Like you were a little bit more.

9:15I guess purposeful about what you wanted to take a picture of. Like I, I just looked at my phone. And this is not just pictures because obviously there's little videos or whatever. I have 3,198 on my phone. That's absurd. And what you may be on early in though, yeah, I was around four or five when I deleted a ton out. I'm not exaggerating. I bet 2,000 of them is pictures of beer. That's ridiculous. And you're at in screenshots and like accidental photos, like a lot of it's garbage. How do you see the number? I don't know. Mine is on library just at the top. Okay. Yeah. You get to like very beginning of it. Huh. That's such another old man. Dumb through our phones. I mean, you know, man, but no, no, I, uh, it's so, and I'm so happy. I pride myself on still staying in the moment and not immediately pulling out my phone to try to take pictures of videos and things. And because I know that even if I'm at a concert, let's say new edition, I took one photo when

10:16I first got there and I didn't take a video or a photo after that. I was in the moment. I just don't know when I'm going to go back and say, oh, man, man, I remember when they saw me with the telephone man, let me go back to my video and see when they did that. I know I'm not going to do that. So I'll just stay in the moment. And sometimes when you're on vacation, you'll come back and go son of a gun. Maybe I should have taken a photo, but I'd love to err on the side of being in the moment then always living through the phone. All right. If I'm taking a video or something, I'm watching it through my phone when it's right there in front of me. Yes. It's a crazy concert just by far the greatest example of that. I mean, last night at the Texas Independence Jam that I went to at Billy Bob's, you look out in the crowd and they're all, I mean, thousands of people just recording it through their phone. And I, it can't be for them. It's because they want to show other people. And that's fine. I think it's fine when you have maybe your favorite song, whatever. And you want to take a snippet 30, 45 seconds. But to sit there for the whole entire show and film that you are, you're losing the experience.

11:20And I think some people maybe go Instagram live or Facebook live or something like that. And I just don't understand if there are people that are sitting on their laptop watching that concert through your phone, right? Is it really that big a deal? It's pretty wild. And I don't think, I think it's past generational, like we can say, man, these young folks, they just don't know how to enjoy themselves, but man, it's so many people, my age, doing the exact same thing. The old folks will pop out the iPad. Oh my gosh. And just, you're there. It's a reason you're there. Enjoy it. Even with the food or anything like that, I don't, I don't do that because I know I'm not, I'm not going to post it. I'm not going to back to look at it. So what's the point of me taking a picture of a meal that I'm about to devour? Yeah, unless you're going to send it to somebody else unless I'm, yes, unless, oh my gosh, I got to send if I'm not with my wife. Oh, man, this is good. Let's check this out. This is what I'm having and we're out of town. Yeah. And I immediately delete it and just go on about my business. Right. And that's usually how it works.

12:20Like I try to go through and delete stuff pretty regularly because it just seems so insane. But I know I was thinking about that the other day as like photo albums, man. Like it's because I think what it is is there's a couple of photos that we saw from the ticket stock. I thought when I sent you this behind us, yes, I mean, I want to get that printed out right and put it in the frame. That looks all of that photo. Yeah. And it's more than just on your phone or something, just to have it on your wall in a nice frame and see a more about that than the album. I feel like with this photo shoot that we're doing for the 30th that I will print those out and try and put that in the album. It may be the first photo album that had in 30 years. Right. Seriously. You know, of getting everybody together. So I was thinking of maybe printing those out and putting those in a frame. But you know what? I take that back. My wife's, oh, was it her 40th birthday? 40 or 45. We took a lot of, we had this big party at Addison's and we went to Costco to get him in

13:24like, it's in like a book. So it's not a photo album. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Well, yeah. I know you're talking about that. It's the last time we put pictures together in a, in a quote unquote album like that. But I'm pretty sure we're going to do the same thing for what we did for the 30th. But there you go. Few and far between. Maybe we, everybody takes some time this week and look through a photo album. I'm going to go over my parents house to see if they have those readily available at the no mind. They probably will have them there in the closet somewhere. I don't know. I don't want to go look for that. It's like, you shouldn't have to look for those. Those should be on display. They still should be on display, man, because those pictures of, you know, when we were kids in the early 70s, it's cool to see me in an Easter suit, crying my eyes out. But I didn't want to say an Easter speech or something like that, you know, my sister and I just like a lot growing up and there's a bunch of pictures of that. But yeah, it was, it's so immediate now, like it was so precious back then because you didn't want to waste a film. Right. You know that you had a certain amount of pictures on your own roll.

14:25Like, okay, we're going to make sure we get the right pictures. Now you get it. Someone says, if we handed someone a camera and say, take a picture of the both of us, they may take 20 of them easily. There you go. There you go. And it's like, I don't know, it's just a convenience of it. Look at me. I got to thinking about this, but then the last week or so, I don't know what prompted it, but do you guys have photo albums anymore? It's growing up.
