There is a cultural pincer forming, and I think it is doing a disservice to some, if not many.

I understand why people adopt it.

We are living through developments that are genuinely difficult to process. Wars erupt and refuse to resolve according to the old schedules. Artificial intelligence becomes more sophisticated in months than many people expected it to become in years. Cultural and technological changes arrive faster than our institutions, or our nervous systems, can comfortably metabolize.

Yet that shouldn’t be reason for rejection of all things new and exciting.
