Many of us have been through excruciating circumstances, or we've made devastating choices, and we feel like we've lost our purpose, we've been broken. 1:00daily devotional. My father was unstable and I suffered abuse growing up not only from my father, but also from an older brother. Mother never seemed to even like me so I couldn't go to her with my problems. I graduated from high school two months pregnant and my parents forced me to get an abortion. In college, I heard about Jesus the Messiah who died for our sins, and I gave my life to him. My parents were indifferent to my choice because God was not important to them. I married a wonderful caring Christian and we had a son. I grew in faith and began working for a prison ministry. That's when the abuse in my past bubbled to the surface. After I went into group therapy, I confronted my dad about the abuse. Celeste made excuses and then finally apologized. But he refused to come to Christ and ask forgiveness. My older siblings didn't deny what happened but they refused to discuss the past. Only my younger brother supported me. In Christ, I'm able to forgive them for what happened.

2:04I work in a prison ministry as a counselor where God is using my experience to help others in bondage. Speaking of God the Father, the Apostle Paul writes in Colossians 1.13. Who have delivered us from the power of darkness and have translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. Friend, God does not always keep us from the heartbreaking experiences that seem to ruin us. Sometimes He allows us to go through these because He wants to redeem us into something even better, more complete, even more capable of sharing His love with others who are suffering.
