Jody might not believe this is the first time it's been mentioned since it happened on the show. Yeah, I don't believe that James. No, it was glorious day. Maybe, maybe not as good as yesterday with the flyers, but glorious nonetheless. But James, I just want to check was AJ wasn't traded over the weekend, right? No, not that I noticed, maybe with the flyers, it just completely blocked the news out. It might have happened. And no new jail in stories. I'm pretty sure none of that. Not in Saturday. All right, so let's get to it. We got the whole weekend on the table and really all fill it off your sports on the table. By the way, we're now inside of three weeks to the NFL draft. It's coming up, let's see, let's see, 14 plus three. I think we're at 17 days in the NFL draft. So we got a lot happening. A lot of it's good. It's not all good. But a lot of it's got thought pretty good job of the fills winning two with three. Kind of followed the script you'd expect. You win the two with the better pitchers.

It's a game winner for a split in two months. Porter, Marton, how do you do? So of course, all coincides with coming down the stretch of the season. He just joined the club last week. It's an unbelievable first week. And now for the first time in a long time, since about three months ago, the flyers are in a position

3:04as of this moment to have a play all spot. Of course, they got to secure it in just the next couple of games. Jodi talks me in my math and what are you thinking? As great as Marton's game winning goal was, his assist earlier in the game, between the legs, no look past, breaking out, that was the better play. I know, you score a game winning goal and over time. It shouldn't be topped, but if you're just looking at the purity of hockey and the way the game is played, this kid is unbelievable. At 19 to display the skills, no nerves, nothing seems to bother him. I had no idea he said that when they get on the skate, they all look so much bigger. He's big too. He's got the whole package going and to step right in and have the day add with the X ball rocking the way that it was. It's a pretty good way to finish off Easter. Really incredible look. 5:05so they got good at 93. Then they stunk again for 14 more years. So I always felt a certain sympathy for the great Harry Callis, calling Phillies games through bad seasons. And he would, he would properly rev it up in the great ones. I say that to say this, you have, you don't have the tenure. I don't. I'm Harry Callis and Philadelphia sports. However, not quite yet, however, you have my sympathy for having dealt with some time of the flyers being not good. And I really, I mean, this very sincerely, I always feel good for the announcers, the pre and post game types, when you finally get a flyer season, we're all now celebrating. I mean, they got a legitimate fricking shot to pull this thing off and make the playoffs. They do. And I was thinking yesterday, I mean, we're getting ready for post game and you feel the building rocking when Porto Marton scores the game winner and overtime. Because our studio is right there. So you can hear and feel everything. And I just looked at Al. I mean, I've only been there for seasons now, but Al has really put in the time.

6:05And he's seen so many versions of these flyers. You want to win for Al and for Scott and for these guys. And it's been an incredible year, an incredible run that I didn't see coming. Five games left. It would be incredibly disappointing at this point, not to make it. Now we're putting that spot on them. That's spotlight because they're the only thing right now break our hearts. Yeah, at this point, every other team is moving in the wrong direction where the flyers are moving in the right. So you've got five games to accomplish this. And I do feel like they're going to get it done. Look, it was a tremendous weekend. Shame on me, I guess on Friday in our show, doubting them. I was still doubting them on Friday. That's fair. But look, the odds are still stacked against them as a Friday, but they flip it with two wins. So they got a really legitimate chance. Look, we'll take your phone calls, obviously. On the flyers, I will say to your point, Ashland, I thought the biggest takeaway I had of everything within that game yesterday, single biggest takeaway was the unabashed, wild, joyous, emotional outburst by the fans

7:06when that goal happened. It was one of those things. Like really? Well, you know what, it reminded me of in certain ways. I swear to you. I swear to you, I thought of it when it happened. It reminded me of Reese Hoskins' bat slam. There was every once in a while, you get a moment and it is usually from a long, suffering group of fans where there is an outburst that's, it's more than just a goal. It's more than just a game winner. It is, it is hope on a different level. And I know I felt that in 2022 when the Phillies got good. Obviously, Hoskins, you remember, Hoskins' bat slam was, we do the math here, was five games in the playoffs. Yeah. Brown at that time. But it was the first home game. Remember, it was the first home game because they had to win two on the road in that first series. Then they played two versus Atlanta. So it was then game five of the playoffs. It was the first time you're home. And it was like an exhale by the fans in such a beautiful way. And that's what really stood out to me with that victory yesterday.

Game, single biggest thing that stood out to you from the Phillies weekend was what? I think seeing Lazardo be awesome. And look, Nola too. But Nola, when you get spotted in 8-run lead that quickly, it's a little easier to settle in and just kind of deal the pressures off, so to speak. I wasn't worried about Lazaro after the first start, but I know some people were concerned after the last year and the contract just got paid. He looked awesome, man. He was awesome. And the Rockies aren't very good, but it was nice to see them go out and take two or three. I do get frustrated with this team that it seems like it's always like when the first two and lose the third is like a classic, this group type of thing. But, you know, look, they're, what, five and three or five? Five and four. Five and four, something, you know, they're an R.I. shape. They need more and more power. They've had one game where they really explode. Yeah, yeah. Well, look, we'll take your reaction on all of the 215-592-9494. I mean, Jody, all things being what they were.

9:07Pretty good weekend for the Phillies. You wish you got this week, but two out of three, I bet. One thing, because we know the six was opponent on Saturday was Detroit. And Taiwan Walker is the equivalent of Tobias Harris that he just got paid too much money. What was he supposed to do? Say no, the Phillies offered him the money. Don't the money. But when you do take the money, then you got to kind of live up to the contract and Tobias Harris got killed on a regular basis here. Not because he was terrible. He wasn't terrible. He was a solid player. He was better than Taiwan Walker. He was better than Taiwan Walker, exactly. But, and this is not a Philadelphia thing. This is a national sports fan thing. Everyone judges you by what you contract is. And if you don't live up to your contract, you're going to hear about it. And Taiwan Walker had a good spring. And what I'm told is he's one of the most likeable blacks in the clubhouse. So his teammates love him, top our loves him. He's bad.

10:07They need to get their ace back in the rotation. I know it's got two more mind league starts. He's got to get in. Taiwan Walker needs to be in the bullpen. He is my father taught me this word when I was just a wee lad going to chase stadium with a met pitcher. Couldn't get me out. He just looking and he goes, uh-oh, he's eminently hit a bull today. And Taiwan Walker is all too often eminently hit a bull as he was the other night against Colorado. Well, look, we'll take your reaction all of it from the weekend. That includes the 76ers.
