The Draft Rankings Show - Top 10 NFL Draft Mock (One More Week)

0:00Mark 10, top 10, the perfect 10 picks, the 2026 NFL mock draft. That's what we're going to be talking about today on the draft ranking show, Cody Carpeteer running solo on a beautiful, beautiful Monday here in April, as we're just a mere, a literal mere nine days away from traveling to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a single digits, baby, from getting to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 10 days to the 2026 NFL draft. Like, button, click, subscribe, today we're going to be running through the first 10 picks in the draft. We're trying to get this thing perfect. We're trying to nail it down perfectly so we can win the huddle report in 2026. Let's get it going. First and foremost, with the Las Vegas Raiders, of course, they're going to be going for Nando Mendoza with the 101. The latest news has come out for the 102 surrounding the New York Jets with David Bailey. Over the course of the last month, it feels like it's been Arvel Reese. Arvel Reese, David Bailey has been just a ticker in the back of that conversation.

1:02But as the weekend kind of crested through, we saw a lot of David Bailey conversation come across all of the markets and it seems to be that he is going to be the favorite here to go number two overall to the New York Jets and I can get behind it. I can understand it and believe it because stylistically, it's a little more similar to what Jermaine Johnson was to the New York Jets the last couple of years. And they moved out of Jermaine Johnson to bring in to Vandria Sweat. There's obviously no defensive tackle in this top conversation. Over the weekend, we saw prediction markets take on almost 42,000 in David Bailey, yes, to go number two and almost over 18,000 on Arvel Reese, no at number two. That's across Kelsey and Pauline Market, who both have Bailey technically get around minus 160, that comes from Conor Allen, our guy over there for for four. So everything's kind of taking in the David Bailey direction for the second overall pick. And I'm going to get behind it. We're going to put David Bailey in at the 102 to the New York Jets.

2:04Here's the interesting one. We get the 103 with the Arizona Cardinals. One of the most active teams, especially since we saw Monty Austin for take over the Arizona Cardinals. He's been very active in the trades, had a trade with, that was Baltimore, that came before Monty was there, that was for Hollywood Brown. They traded with Houston in 2023, a huge trade with Houston again, 2024. They've been in one of the most active teams in the trades. And I believe they might do that again this year. It's a team that needs a little bit more ammo in this draft. They're sitting up there at the 103. They have needs across the board to pick at 3.34 and 65, just three picks in the top 100. Miami's back at 11. That's a team that could potentially look to come up Dallas, another interesting team that could look to come up. And they're sitting here with Arville Reese, and I just wonder, will they take Arville Reese?

3:05I mean, I think they should go with Maui Noah here, but I'm not sure if I believe that they will go Maui Noah here. That's the problem. I'm not sure they believe he's the guy. He's the answer to come off the board at number three overall. So I think if I don't move, Arville Reese is the selection. We have heard that there is a person in this building that wants Jeremiah Love to be the selection at the 103. I think your team tendencies would tell you that the play is probably not that. We only have Monty Austin Fort in the building for the last three drafts, so we don't have a massive understanding of where their vision is, but their premium picks that they've used the last couple of years, wide receiver in the top 10, Paris Johnson Tackle in the top 10, Walter Nolan, Derrius Robinson, defensive line, they've made defensive line a focus. And Derrius Robinson hasn't exactly hit from Missouri. He's even Collins is going to roll out the books next year, Walter Nolan on the interior

4:06was banged up this last year. I think it makes a lot of sense here to go with the freaking Arville Reese instead of moving down, because I'm not sure there's an exact team that's going to come up to get, you know, whoever, a Tate or a, you know, Maui Noah or maybe in Jeremiah Love to jump ahead of the Tennessee Tate. So we're going to go Arville Reese here at the 103. That's going to be the selection. No trades in the top three. That's how we're going to start this thing out here for us in the 2026 mock drafts. Mendoza Bailey Reese, then we get to the Titans at the 104, everybody, everybody is plugging in Jeremiah Love here at the 104. It seems like it's now becoming a more and more growing consensus, closer to that astringent conversation from a year ago, which, you know, once that thing turned, it was done. I think that's kind of where we're at right now with Jeremiah Love. There's some questions that have floated out about Rubin Bain. I think that's fair.

5:07He may fall. He may fall. What if he falls to 12? What if he falls into the Micah Parsons spot 12th overall to the Dallas Cowboys? Could you imagine? So the Tennessee Titans sitting here, they need wide receiver, they need running back. There's a bevy of needs for the Tennessee Titans in this draft. You can still go edge, even though you got Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Germain Johnson, sorry for the Jeremiah on that corner. I think it's still in the conversation as well. I don't think any of these corners are elite. So I think that that work kind of begins as they've been trying to sell us on, no, it's not running back. When in reality, it might just be running back. Again, if I was a Tennessee Titans, I would be drafting Francis Maui Noa, but I of course am not. And that's not how we do this. But they have added a couple of offensive linemen. I wouldn't mind going Maui Noa here, plugging it in the right guard. But I think they're going to end up going Jeremiah Love and it's going to go chalk for the first four selections, Mendoza, Bailey, Reese, and Love. Now at the five spot for the New York Giants, this is where it might get a little bit spicy.

6:08This is where I think the New York Giants start the draft. We get this every year is like, oh, this team is going to start the draft, right? Nobody really expected Jacksonville to move up with the Cleveland Browns at two last year and it happened on draft night and it blew everything up. Here we are with the New York Giants at five and they have there, do they want to go edge with Bane? No. Because they have edge. Do they want to go linebacker with sunny styles? They could. They signed Tremaine Edmonds. I don't know if I believe in it. I understand he's an upgrade. I'm Micah McFadden. I don't really, like, I think it's me fighting myself saying it doesn't make sense to go linebacker at five, even though he's a freak of nature at the linebacker position. I tend to say run the board, run the ticket up with Francis Mauino's name on it at five and trusting that Joe Shane's going to do the reasonable thing and move forward. But they signed Daniel Falele and I feel like that's just enough to give protection to

7:08Evan Neill at the right guard position as they try to give him one more year. You got Jermaine Eliminor at right tackle, they like JMS at center, running in Thomas on the left side, seems like they're fine with that as the, you know, just cool at the offensive line. You got your tight end. Okay. Take that out of the conversation. Then I think you, you added wide receiver is wide receiver and option here for the New York Giants. I believe so. I believe Cornell Tate is a real option here for the New York Giants and that needs to be heavily discussed. You also have to entertain corner. I don't mind trade back as well for the New York Giants corner and wide receivers where I sit for the New York Giants right now here at pick five to pick again at 37 that could use a little bit more ammo less than only two picks inside the top 100. So for this mock draft, we will not go France to smell we know. We will not go sunny styles. We will be going wide receiver, Cornell Tate, give Jackson Darts some more weapons. Tate, neighbors, neighbors is not supposed to be ready until fall camp.

8:10Tate, neighbors, scataboo, give him some more weaponry as they are likely there. This is a new look New York Giants, you know, you need to have weaponry give Cornell Tate to the New York Giants at five. The Browns slapped in the face maybe because they might have wanted Cornell Tate here at six overall. They're sitting here. What do they do with no Cornell Tate? Because a lot of people have been connecting them to Cornell Tate. What we're going to do here for the Cleveland Browns is potentially plug in Maui Noah, right? Wrong. We're not going to go Francis Maui Noah. They also want wide receiver, what we want we want at Cornell Tate, well, how do they feel about Jordan Tyson? Is Jordan Tyson at the top of that conversation? Is Rubin Bain a pivot point for these guys? You got Carson Sreshinger last year in the second round. You picked up Quincy Williams. Your defensive end opposite of Miles Garrett is Alex Wright. Is that enough? Rubin Bain fell to you at six here. You have another pick later in the draft that you can go wide receiver at pick 24. You also pick I think at 37 in the second round.

9:13This is a very interesting spot you sit in with Rubin Bain falling into your lap to play opposite of Miles Garrett. Rubin Bain is the selection at pick six to the Cleveland Browns. Trust the process. Some would say number seven, the Washington commanders. What is happening with Francis Maui Noah? Why is he falling? No offensive lineman off the board to this point. In Doza, Bailey, Reese, Love, Tate, Bain. Washington has picked seven and pick 71. Washington will trade back. Who will they trade back with is the big question. Who wants to come up to pick seven? What is there to come up for? Caleb Downs is available. Sonny Styles is available. Both the cornerbacks are still available. Montsour DeLane, as well as Jermad McCoy, depending how you feel about tight ends. End of course. The wider receivers in Jordan, Tyson and McCoy Lemon are both also still available. You'd be jumping the Saints and the Chiefs to get one of those guys.

10:15The Dolphins have enough ammo to jump from 11 to seven to say, damn it, we really want to come up and get one of these cornerbacks. We cannot allow the Saints or the Chiefs to get both these cornerbacks and snipe us. I think that's the play. The Washington commanders trade down to 11 with the Miami Dolphins and the Dolphins come up from 11 to seven. I don't care about what they're giving up. They have seven picks in the top 100 this year, 11, 30, 43, 75, 87, 90, 94. They got enough. Whatever you want them to give up, they'll give up their movie from 11 to seven. Then we went up four spots to pick seven to draft their lockdown cornerback of the future. And that guy for the Miami Dolphins is Montsour DeLane at pick seven that jumps ahead of the Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs. Because the Saints potentially had Montsour DeLane as their CB one, he just got snipeed away from them. They're going to pivot to their number two option. The number two option is wide receiver Jordan Tyson, Jordan Tyson, who was just in New Orleans

11:17and a visit earlier this week at a 30 visit, goes in there. He has his work on him Friday. I think we're living in the world of the flat circle with Jordan Tyson. I think he goes top 10 here. I'm going to lock him in at number eight to New Orleans Saints. Number nine, the Kansas City Chiefs are sitting here with not only Caleb Downs and not only Francis Maui Noah and Sonny Stiles available, Spencer Fano, Dramat McCoy, a lot of options here for the Kansas City Chiefs at pick nine as we talk about it. They have Jalen Moore right now at right tackle, Trey Smith at right guard. I think you have to trust the process and say, man, we got to bring Maui Noah in and play right tackle. I mean, I think some people question if he can play right tackle the next level, but I think you just trust what you saw in college. Maui Noah can play right tackle, especially next to Trey Smith. This is a generational value here at pick nine for the Kansas City Chiefs of all teams. Not only the generational player, anything, but the idea that you could get in here, well,

12:18you're still in the Patrick Mahomes era and get a top 10 pick on the offensive tackle. The OT won the class. Francis Maui Noah goes nine to the Kansas City Chiefs. The final selection in our mock 10 top 10 goes to the Cincinnati Bengals here at pick 10. Like I said, sunny styles is available, Caleb Downs, both the Ohio State players fall to us at pick 10. A lot of people have been putting Caleb Downs to the Cincinnati Bengals. That's kind of been a lot of consensus lock of late Dramat McCoy is also available if you're a Cincinnati Bengal fan and you're looking at the cornerback position. I think you could also potentially be looking at edge if you think it came as a door snips enough, but thank you might be end up end up a second round type of a conversation not him. Sorry, the Bengals might end up in a second round conversation if they are looking in that direction. We've heard a lot about a number of players potentially get up into this conversation. I think you look in the offensive line for the Cincinnati Bengals and I see Dalton Ryzen right right guard and I say, well, and I see Ted Carrison center and I say, well,

13:23and I wonder, I really do wonder the Spencer Fano stuff. I wonder, Spencer Fano is shown enough to be a top 10 selection and to be a Cincinnati Bengal here with the 10th overall selection of 2026 NFL draft. I just don't know if it's quite enough to take him over a Caleb Downs level player. I think the linebackers that Cincinnati has are good enough in Barrett Carter and to meet you at night, I'm not sure that they would use the 10th overall pick on a linebacker. I know, I know Sonny Stiles is special. I get that. You don't have to try and convince me, but I also know that he, you know, quietly the third longest tenured general manager in the NFL right now is Duke Tobin and the plays he's made in round one generally lead you to believe, of course, quarterback, receiver, offensive line. That's kind of the direction that they want to go in the priority of drafting defensive line every single year.

14:23The value isn't really there, of course, in reaching, if you're a pick 10, like you can get good, solid defensive line help in the second round. I think this thing comes down to, do you take the outstanding talent in Downs or do you take Spencer Fano at pick 10? I'm going to, I'm going to go chalk, I'm going to go Caleb Downs. I still don't trust it though, I don't believe it. This is my biggest problem is these Cincinnati Bengals that picked 10. I really do struggle with the Cincinnati Bengals. I know we've surpassed our 10 minute mark and we need to get out of here. One of my favorite landing spots for this, for this Bengals team has always been Peter Woods. If trading down from 10 is potentially in the cards for the Cincinnati Bengals who pick a 10, 41, 72, I'm just not quite sure the team you get to get convinced to come up to

15:2310. I don't know if somebody would see the value in jumping up for a linebacker or a safety. You could be scared of this offensive line run starting here. I think you look at these three teams, the Bengals in Washington, both looking at the offensive line. I really struggle with Cincinnati and I know you guys are going to hate me for sitting here and pontificating on this. But it's super tough and super interesting. I think for these reasons, I'm going to go ahead and I really want to do it. I think we're going to take Spencer Fano here, tent overall to the Cincinnati Bengals and that's going to be the draft. So one through 10, Fernando Mendoza, David Bailey, Arvel Reese, Jeremiah Love, the chalk top four. Carter, I'll take to the Giants, Ruben Bank to the Browns, Mansour Delane to the Dolphins

16:27and a trade up from 11 with Washington, Jordan Tyson to the Saints at eight, Francis Maui, Noah to the Chiefs at nine and a sick value in Spencer Fano at pick 10 to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Washington Commanders at their 11 and they still get the guy they want in sunny styles.
