1)The Mysterious Chinese Balloon: A large sphere the size of 3 buses drifted over the US continental area, finally being shot down near Myrtle Beach. The Chinese government claims it is just a weather balloon that flew off course. But our US military said it was an intelligence collection balloon, and sent here on purpose. Secretary of State Blinken canceled a long planned trip to China, and our relations with Xi are getting worse. What is going on?

2)Death of Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf: General Musharraf just died aged 79 in Dubai, UAE.  He took power in a military coup in 1999, and joined the anti-Taliban coalition of USA after the 9/11 attacks. What is the significance of his time running Pakistan, and how should he be remembered?

3)Petr Pavel Elected President of Czech Republic: A former General, Petr Pavel just won a resounding victory in Czech elections, running on a pro-NATO and pro-EU platform. His opponent Mr. Babis was positioned like Hungary's Pres. Orban, pushing for a populist, pro-Putin , and anti-Ukraine position. What does this election result signify for Europe in 2023?

4)Israel's Prime Minister Offers to Help Negotiate Peace Between Russia and Ukraine?: Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, has said he would help negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine, "if asked". He suggested the US would need to agree to his intervention. Should we accept his help?
