Did you know how dangerous, reckless and sinful self-pity is? Self-pity is when you completely take God out of the equation and put yourself above Him. When you don't believe that He can turn around your circumstance or use it for good. When you don't care to listen to the voice of reason or hope...instead all you focus on is how terrible you feel and how bad you feel for yourself. Unfortunately, we've all been there...that place where you give up all hope and feel like you're picked on and nothing goes right.
But that's where we are wrong. It always blows my mind how quickly we forgot all the times God came through for us! All the times He made a way when we didn't see any way! All the times His plan was better and the times He held us and waited for us to come to Him.
Self-pity will only make things worse for you and everyone around you. Listen in as I share my experience with my friend that caused me to get deeper into thoughts and understanding of how dangerous self-pity is and how our friendship will only grow when we speak the truth no matter how hard it may be.
