It's the third failed attempt to build on the site, despite the persimmon arguing the redesign

addressed earlier concerns, and included 30% more affordable housing.

Funding has been secure to install new security fencing behind Clasing Community Centre

to tackle long-running anti-social behaviour.

Police say the site has been a hotspot for decades, the centre has grown to a key community

hub, after major investment and now host groups including Clayton and Richard Boxing Club.

Councilors in Hindburn, Leisure say the fencing will help protect the well-used facility

and keep it safe and welcoming for residents.

Bernal Council has unveiled plans to upgrade access to the scene ringing tree

ahead of the 2027 year of culture

Years of harsh weather have left paths fencing and infrastructure worn

And new shallow gradient wheelchair accessible path would link the car park directly to the sculpture alongside new fencing improved seating and upgraded gates

The sculptures plinth would be rebuilt with local stones surrounding area refurbished to make the landmark safer, more durable and fully accessible for visitors

Ribble Valley Council has again refused person in plan for 80 homes in Wopshire saying the steep hillside scheme would be too dominant and not accessible for people with disabilities

The council ruled the layout density in major land reshaping meant that development wasn't sustainable and couldn't be made acceptable through conditions

It's the third failed attempt to build on the site despite persimmon arguing the redesign addressed earlier concerns and included 30% more affordable housing

Funding has been secure to install new security fencing behind closing community centre to hack all long-running anti-social behaviour

Police say the site has been a hotspot for decades the centre has grown to a key community hub after major investment and now host groups including Clayton amateur boxing club

Cousin's in hindburn leisure so the front-hand will help protect the well-used facility and keep it safe and welcoming for residents
