Hello and welcome to the agenda on Monday the 2nd of March 2026 and your host Christopher Gellar and it's quite a nice day it's not too bad the sun is kind of out breaking through the clouds we're sitting here we are maybe not it isn't a bad position as we expected with the exception of Lorenzo but we'll get to that Celtic not losing Iberus shown a bit of a shown about a dick shown a bit of resilience again we can kind of talk through that we've obviously the reaction is available for you if you want to hear an instant reaction to the game um delighted to see I'm joined by a very good friend Kira Devlin

hello Kira how are you I'm very well I think you know obviously listeners may agree or disagree that we might belabor the weather metaphors for how Celtic are doing but I actually think today in Edinburgh is perfect for it because the sun is just it's a bit cloudy but we're having sunny spells and I feel that is the perfect symbol for how we're feeling in the moment it's it could be a lot worse it could be better but we'll take absolutely take it given what a few months we've had both weather wise and Celtic wise so no I'm rare in to go excited to talk lots to talk about and from the fall out yesterday so and it'll be as cathartic as the last few weeks as well great stuff Kira powerful start very impressed from one powerful start to Lorenzo hi the hello are you what's what's happening look I'm not great I am I'm just back from a stagdo in Athens it was great it was good that the game was so exciting was so much to talk about it was involved

at the whole last day of stagdo where a lot of us were waiting on a very late flight it made like an entire day in a very interesting foreign country exclusively about pain money and real Hattati which was fun so great very very it's weird to say great because there was a lot of me before the game was very I went into full pessimism yeah about the fact that we would get hammered or the fact that we just don't win these games and even this idea of that if we luck out and get a draw because we felt like to me before the game forget a draw do we want do I want this I want to stumble to second in the league I want to stumble to third in the league something like that I'm pleased that in the in the wake of the game without all went down I've woken up on one day feeling terrible feeling very very much more enthused or at least just happy to be here as a Celtic fan I thought I might be where to judge the game what was it about CSE yeah the James James Joyce in Athens the Athens CSE which seems to be made up of I would say four

Greek guys who were fantastic value watch they were anxiety strutting through the pub they were smacking things on tables they had the most insane put leg merch I've ever seen my life they were great with the rest of the pub was families having done our lunch per muse to what was going on and a table of 16 Tottenham fans who'd come in with Rangers on their coupons and shouting for Rangers the whole time you did you have a lot of Celtic fans in your stag do yes it was a hundred percent Celtic fans which was good good lads good boys that's it that's a stuff did you chat with the Greek lads about barcass at all I did not chat with the Greek lads in the slightest because I will be honest they intimidated me greatly oh yeah if it was me I would I mean Sam and member Sammy Sammy there's only so many times through a stag do a 12 guys from Glasgow in Athens that you can hear somebody say the word Sam or ask the muse the Greek person until you realize

you have to stop yeah time is up yeah we'll talk about the game I mean the fact that you've instantly brought up Rio Hattati and Dean Murray there are two players that we should definitely talk about Benjamin Negrogic we should talk about as well it doesn't work does it won't stick that I just I was trying it just off the top of the top my head but let's start with the well what we're going to talk about various things we'll talk about the game got a couple of quite we got some really good questions from subscribers got some news there's a wee squad contract thing I was looking at players at a contract and players at a wee squad thing that we'll do if we get the time obviously we'll have the scenarios as always got to get a game on Wednesday game on Sunday games are coming thick and fast and let's start with the opening question though Keir and Devon will start with you first what's the eltex chances of winning the title after yesterday's draw so it's not necessarily just about the actual result it's about maybe a little bit about the

performance are do you feel better after yesterday you feel more confident in the the title what's your thoughts yeah I think I do feel marginally better and I don't think it's necessarily because of us but more because I think I've probably been in my mind over rating ranges a little bit yeah and I think there's I guess like the calculus that we could bring into this is hearts and other well hearts you know maintain or increase the lead at the top at the table I know people are looking at the underlying stats and surely they're going to go have a slip up at some point that's probably going to happen and in other words just keep marching on and looking still not conceding goals still being very controlled in games so I but I think we're just looking at I think before this weekend I would have had Rangers as slight favorites for the title and the way they just collapsed in that second half under like I don't think we played brilliantly but we just

played better and we coped with their I think they dropped in their intensity I don't know where that was tired to go it was fitness it was psychological or what but they just dropped off and we just took advantage of that really well um so I think I think we have I think all the same issues we've said and discussed last week and before they're all still present they're all still absolutely there but I think we do have I think Lorenzo talked about last week about how we are simultaneously very fragile and vulnerable but there is this like instinctive response to title moments like crucial title games game states where something just seems to kick in it's like this Pavlovri in response um and that that came about yesterday um I do think there was other factors we talk about real with Tate completely changing the game I think Tenecte was excellent when he came on as well um I think we and not maybe we just part of the discussion about him as an impact player versus as a starter um but I I think that it was there was something just quite

enjoyable that the the inferiority complex that's played this Rangers team for at least 15 years showed up again as this resilience this superior to complex that Celtic have had for 15 years kicked in yet again and long made it continue as far as I'm concerned yeah absolutely Lorenzo what be yourself Kira makes a good point about maybe being people overestimating Rangers um I think maybe we all have a little bit um what did you make of it again opening question what your what your chances of Celtic win in the league uh yeah I'm saying I'd think you've been proved after yesterday again just in that assumption that hearts well fuck something up as much as that's not seeming to be the case uh but I think the Rangers that you look at the lineup just a bit and that's what gave me the the kind of last wave of negativity before the game started because that's Rangers pretty much I mean maybe I don't know the team as well as I should I'm thinking that's like full strength full pelt after January you know there's not much they've got to come back in there there's guys on the bench as well who they've signed for good money or who they they rate and then you look

at the Celtic side and we're coming out of a January window with um you know guys on the bench who we signed in January to come in and change the league not getting on then I think the worry for me is that this idea that Rangers have been rounding into a new round of form and style but in reality it's maybe seeing it play out against yourselves makes it clearer because they've had these sluppups again stubs and Livingston and it's that they almost kind of punched themselves out and they have a lot of intensity at the start and there's a lot of feeling inside the stadium and there's a lot of all this time this time and I think Ranger have spent so long as the underdog and there's times where when you can be the underdog you can really play into the siege mentality comes in and it's why I think they turn they turn us over more than they should in the years where they don't win the league but when it's this kind of chase for the league I think like Karen said that inferiority complex came into play the minute Celtic put their foot on the ball and hopefully going forward that's something we can do to all the other teams in the top that there's an idea that when the second half starts and Celtic have their foot on the ball

they are going to be too much for you and like you start out with that almost probably in response there's players in that team that I think there were some chances yesterday you know in hindsight that should have been taken you know they'll be opportunities missed but there is always and I think it more even bleeds in the opposition than it does to us this anticipation that Celtic will get that last chance Celtic will get that goal and the way that built an arranger's team that's supposed to be fighting for the title and couldn't see a game like that where they were as dominant as you can imagine and the first half says a lot maybe about where the direction of the title's heading. I just I mean it's kind of hard to finger put your finger on because ultimately Martin and Neil and Mark Fotheringham and Sean Maloney train with these players every week and they know what they're capable of and what they're not capable of but Keenan like why why were we so put in that first half and why were we so much better in that second half and I know there will be a you know bit an argument to be made about Rangers press is really high we just couldn't kind of deal with it in the first half but we still broke out

quite a few times I think Oxley Chamberlain kind of played through the press a couple of times and you know I know he wasn't great but he still showed moments of quality we still the transition pretty well occasionally but overall that and that first half we were put what I know and you'd I know I'm not going to get an answer from you because it's too difficult one to fully answer but what do you think it is can you put your finger on anything? I guess there's various factors I think Oxley Chamberlain showed some decent quality on the ball but you cannot play him as the moment I saw him and you couldn't start together and my heart just sank because we we saw against Hibbs that they are just they are net negatives off the ball defensively yeah and we were just overwhelmed in midfield and I think that absolutely transpired again like I do think that's just going to that's just the equation you're going to have with Oxley Chamberlain is that he does have that quality on the ball but he is useless and defensively and that's just you know that's people just went up with the pros and cons with him I think the other the factor was the players

did look look how we felt a little bit like we did just seem rattled by the occasion rattled by Trimitius scoring a wonder goal the press is really badly and we know we do not have technically decent players in most positions especially in defence and you know our whole is decent and we'll come to Murray in a bit but like he is the more capable centre back we have in the ball he had to certainly has other issues but like by and large that is a very technically poor defensive midfield and we just and it was just couldn't we just couldn't get out and just punting it long and long we were just immediately given the ball away because we're punting it long to players that aren't very tall or physical and I think someone pointed out Rangers in that starting 11 doing they have two players under six foot they're a team of like thugs and giants and if we try and play thug and giant football against that we're going to get bullied especially when you know a dhamu he had he had some nice touches against Stuttgart he was just

completely overwhelmed like this day occasion ligguies and so I think there's various factors I think it's psychological I think it was tactical and it only was team selection was quite naive again but I think by that token we still have to get the credit for the halftime for being proactive at halftime by making you know to netty and especially a tati can but it changed that because I think I mentioned before even a baseline of a tati not playing well gives you something no other midfielder has that ability to just take the ball turn and play it with one or two touches very very quickly to under pressure spin somebody pressurising I'm moving on Northern midfielder no really any player can do that so even if he's off form he gives you something that no other player can so I think we you know we have to give on the own the team credit for those substitutions even if they fucked up the initial team selection but yeah I think it was also that psychological factor where I think was six or seven games in our own now where we've failed to beat them in 90

minutes yeah you know there is a bit of a psychological hang up there but you know psychological hang-ups are made to be broken I remember I think it was that the three now in post-cogulus first season with the baddies and the high tati's goals well I think we went seven or eight games without beating them and just the that's probably one of my favourite of our Celtic games that game so if it's all set up for this post split at Celtic Park this game against them because it does feel increasingly that this obviously stuff matters with hearts and mother will but that game is going to be one of the biggest Glasgow Derby's in in years and I don't think that's even that's pretty good very gently so that that could be a title for the ages and that's that's an opportunity for these players to actually get over the hump the ice for the first time in eight what almost two years beat them in 90 minutes yeah Lorenzo Dane Murray Dane Murray performed really well again

stick guard and I sort of back to the wall performance again yesterday and performed well I think people are in print now obviously the huge mistake he makes I mean see when he makes a mistake it's not it's not like it's like a purpa he literally becomes that uh uh uh character his legs go up in the air his arms are flailing um but the rest of the game he was he was pretty damn good um always tries the right things doesn't always come off but always tries the right things um physical wins headers what do you what do you do Murray do you just keep playing on what do you see a real future for him or is this just you know you play the hot hand I guess as you would say yeah I think so and there I mean when Murray made that mistake it was just it just felt like I think it's the same when you watch um Michael in Europe right every time we're about to start a game I am genuinely thinking before the game starts what is Michael going to do tonight that

fucks this massive game up like what is the error that's coming and sadly for Dane Murray the level of importance of the games he's been thrown into has meant that he does just have this and it's you know it's an end reputation of bomb scare in big games and I thought particularly second half yesterday he was dominant in a lot of ways he was really impressive the fact he came back from that mistake I couldn't believe he wasn't pulled off at half time I just felt like this could have been four you know this could be four or five you've got to get a day Murray out of there you've got to at least see what the author's about you've got to give my chance to survive this Martin will start with him his performance like half was great he was so dominant in the air against the team that made that their MO and when they ran out of ideas as well there was a lot coming direct if he wasn't as strong it could have you know swung the at turn the tables away but so massive credit to him I I think for the rest of the season only oh obviously seems to break him in some fashion it obviously doesn't think Arthur's somebody who can step in and actually play here so it feels like it's Murray I think he'll go back to trusty I don't think Murray's kind of

going to fight his way in this team but it just made me think about longer term I think I was much quicker to have written Murray off and I'm not saying I'm you know back on him but I think having that dominant a second half in that kind of atmosphere with the way the first half went I would love to see him go on loan next season in the in the league and and see what he can do if he can do the Welsh you know improvement or whatever he's younger he's got a lot more about him he's somebody when he first came through we talked about money agenda just I was excited to see somebody of that profile as I said I think academy graduate and hopefully this back there's my fire he's had if he does go somewhere with lower stakes and I know the premiership is very fast and intense and there's not that many places you can actually go where you're not going to you know you're ever going to get off the hook from a stakes particularly when you go as a Celtic loanee if you can go somewhere to just play football be a first name on the team sheet it could be the making of them fingers crossed I mean if it is funny like you know ask you the the motherble manager like you switch him and and Stephen Welsh has been excellent in their

defenses like what they're one of the best in Europe if not the best I think daymarys are ball playing center half that probably fits into that mold slightly better I mean Stephen Welsh is played really well so not taking anything away from him I don't know what to do with money just in terms of I see a lot of attributes as I think when someone had I think it's an unfair branding on them but it's also fair it's kind of you're sticking between because he has he does make mistakes that do lead to big opportunities that usually cost a goal but he does perform well under it the sample size of him playing isn't particularly big he's not played a lot of games when he does play it's stuck out of way it's rangers away it's 10 castle you know these are places that a lot of center back struggle anyway you look at trusty trusty's made a a mammoth amount of mistakes this season but it's almost like better the devil you know I don't know keen on what's your thoughts on it if this was ccv and star felt ahead of money I think that's all fair but this is trusty

in skills we've got twido diamond twido d who may who just make this who have the same volume of mistakes per minute as or as as money does but without the upside you know these are guys who are basically as good as they're ever going to be they're mid to late 20s they're not academy graduates they don't have big upsides and they are honking on the ball so I'm just that if we don't have a center back that is an error prone we don't have not one someone might as well play one that's the academy graduate that has the upside to isolate to learn from these mistakes because I do like how much of this is just inexperience is barely played when he does play he's often as Lorenzo says chucked on a way I asked him for a way up below on you or you know he's forced to play against stuttgart against ibrox he's he's chucked into the deep end a lot of the time at time car so and yet he fucks up but none of these I don't think these mistakes are necessarily down to him you're being a bad player it is an experience it's

a lack of game time and I just see let me just jump in for a second it's not only a lack of game time in terms of see between when he plays and when he doesn't he's not playing any games he's not in the B team he's not in the reserve squad you know he's literally he can literally go four months without a game and then he's playing at time castle then he goes another two months without a game and then he's playing at ibrox no wonder he's making these these mistakes and I think the other thing I will say is as I wasn't joking when I said his mistakes are very visual his mistakes are very visual because lame skills makes mistakes all the times and they're not as visual you know and in the same with trusty he makes mistakes that aren't as visual it's just that you can look a layman can look at Murray and go what the fuck is he doing there and it might not cost a go it might cost a go but it's because of that visualization that it makes it a little bit easier to be like ah he's he shite compared to the other two and by the way there's a good chance that all three they might good enough for Celtic long term and I think that's the main point can you recommend on that

yeah well I think that's I think that's bottom because like a lot of the time I think that the stuff that really fucking annoys me about skills and I mentioned it before is that it's 80% of his clearances end up as an opposition player is not he's not directing into touch he's not trying to find a teammate he just leathers it and most of the time it goes 20 yards straight in opposition player some people think of that as clearing under any circumstances I think that's just given the ball away cheaply every time I so I just and as you say that's the kind of thing no accomplice centre back no Celtic centre back should be doing um so I think that's that's right that's what I like just it because skills I don't even think that's true any I think maybe in his first two seasons under Rogers skills did that but the number of fuck ups like just very visible fuck ups he's done this season this is same with trusty however they're just like they've done stuff easily as bad as Murray's 10 castle performance and I it's like Murray makes big mistakes he probably will continue to make big mistakes but I think that his stuff that can be ironed out

and importantly he also is good enough the ball that he's not passing it straight out at the park three times a game like the other two yeah so like I like I it is the least Murray is the least worst option as far as I'm concerned I think he could develop into a good player maybe it's just going to be too tough on or maybe there'll be an opportunity in the summer I think we cross that bridge when we come to it but as far as I'm concerned we're going to have defenders making hurler mistakes regardless of who's picked um so until we have better options there which might have to be the summer depending on when CCV comes back the night baking to stick with him and hopefully he just builds his confidence and really just that with the second half yesterday that becomes much more than normed in the exception you forget this every week CCV is out for the season you you need to remember that I'm going to get that tattooing you're not um here's some comments from subscribers uh this is from floney floney very quick very easy five words for the agenda and the rest of the season play Rio and play football uh Lorenzo Rio

Tati in the second half I thought he kind of changed the game very dynamic uh dropping into spaces in a way that no one else was in the first half um opening the space up um I mean I'll say that I'm a real what did Colin call me a real Hattati truth or uh I'll tell you something right now as much as I love Rio Tati he could play in Wednesday and could be absolutely thinking I mean that's just the form of everyone but you probably play Rio Hattati and the next you probably start in the next two games right Lorenzo yes yeah I think the the route to the title for the Celtic team the sword is in Rio Hattati's hand oh yes I mean because I think we saw what we had to do I mean McGregor talked about it that they were told you know they can make it a football game and that was the the way to fight through this press power intensity belief that Rangers had and there just isn't as curious it was not the the personnel in the park to do that until Rio Hattati comes on and if Celtic are going to make it through this run if said they're

going to fight for this like title they need to beat they're not going to do it through being more physical than other teams are not going to do it with guys on form they're not banging in the goals they need their creative powerhouses to be able to come up with things and McGregor got way better than when Hattati came on next term that opened up a lot for him everyone around Hattati got better and you just need to roll the dice it's like roll the dice like he's a quality player you just need the hope that that was the making of you know the end of the season here and that will that will be all the matters if Rio Hattati goes to back to his best for 10 games that will be all the matters this season about his form because he's got that ability I think people have questioned whether Rio Hattati's heads in the game whether he's buried sold it I think been able to come into that environment and take the ball and turn and face up to that and try and put the team on your back you know I think the way he started the second half shows a lot about his character I think him being given the penalty shows maybe a lot of confidence in the players around them that his

up because that that environment for someone to take apparently your head has to be a hundred percent right the fact he misses it and gets three-bound thank God I think we'd be talking about yeah something entirely different here on terms of Hattati if that was what happened but it could be a big catalyst for him just to to get back in his bag as they say and and just plays best football because I think one of the things from yesterday was Oxley Chamberlain's obviously a very good football but we always know all these guys from down south as much as he's a different Ketler fish it takes a while just to get used to exactly what's expected of you and exactly how much time you have on the ball and all these little things and we don't have that time and there was maybe a hope that he had the quality that it wouldn't matter as much we saw his first goal you know things like that will pop up for Oxley Chamberlain he will have a big part to play more in this league title but I think a lot of it particularly seen the way McGregor's game improved when Hattati came on a lot of this league title for me is going to hang on real Hattati

finding his best form in the next 10 games I couldn't agree more I think we're all of that opinion Karen just a quick one the referee the penalty why would anyone say it wasn't a penalty just in regards to today's use with everything because when we were watching it I was like oh I can't really see and then you see the angle from above it's like oh my god that's a penalty like there's okay absolutely 100% a penalty um did Danny roll maybe miss miss that what he was crying too much at the end it looked like a great save from Jack Butler at the end and then the VAR of you and it looks like it comes from Sterling's hand at any complaints about that decision I think there's a way or yeah if they make the decision I think it's all this tough late and such a game to make such a decision I think there is a header from I don't know how big is the distance 10 cm or something like this I think you cannot really wrecked

for me it's not about this pen it's nothing channel well last week I was a big follow on us where we late in the game and there was no consequence today there's a consequence against us it's so undeserving it's so undeserving I might be in a minority here but even it comes to penalties I think there needs to be a wee bit of a road change because there's no way that a player should be getting a rebound on a thought attempt like a penalty should just be like what it has in a penalty should out man it's a goalkeeper against the penalty taker you miss he missed that see the fact that he managed to get that for rebound that's a disgrace man what did you make all that shout I know there's a lot of ambiguity over the handball rule and bars application over it you know we've suffered a few of them over the past few years I think the Bernabé won will always just blow my mind but that that is just as common like as clear a card as it could possibly be as a red card it feels like it was fairly straightforward

stone waller but I guess he's just going to he's got his big crowning moment in the title race snatch from so I'm sure he's happy crying away about it but it's just as close to an objective handball that there could possibly be I think just a comment from Russell Fairx I think we just covered this Russell really and considering the second half performance yesterday in the level we all know he can reach if a tactic and maintain that form could he be the catalyst for us putting together a run and winning the league I've been as pretty big as critic this season but we have been trying out for someone with ability and guillinable I think as Lorenzo just said I think that's kind of the key point so great stuff and here's one from Jim Jim says morning guys by half time yesterday I'm sure we were all ready to strike a match and burn the whole club to the ground can't escape though that the group have some sort of resilience to fight back in the second half clearly the two lone strikers aren't up to the standard of starting center forwards what do you think puts us in the best position moving forward Maida through the middle I'm bringing one

of the guys on at some point if we need a change or the same as yesterday in hoping our second half performances our second half performance will be enough to carry us to victories cheers Jim it's a good point Jim Lorenzo Chavantra didn't come off the bench it turns out he and actual was down in Manchester with a personal trainer he put it up on his Instagram he was training well the game was happening or at least he put a picture up of him training down in Manchester so he's clearly bombed it you know Adamu you know what in terms of what the question from Jim do you think it should be first half pick one of the strikers second half put Maida through the middle or do you start with Maida change up that way how would you like to see that striking position be managed I think you have to it's been annoying for this set that kind of front three because with that we have been so wanting for three really quality players fit at the same time

available at the same time good enough at the same time that for me you have to just back you have to back the players are playing their best and figure out ways to get them in and I think that's the awkward question that we're losing together with Tenecky how great he's been as an impact sub how great he's been coming on and changing a game I think you have to get Teneckty in the game and it doesn't feel like it's annoying to say I would want Tenecky to be as impactful as he is when he starts he just doesn't you know but that would be the ideal and for me that would be why I had to have Teneckty in the left um Yang and the right I guess and then Maida through the middle just so that there's some form I know Maida is not unformed but he's just got an effectiveness that the new boys just don't have yeah um Fanchara would be my pick over Adamu he just offered a wee bit more but again not in terms of scoring goals which is kind of what I'm after personally from the guy reading the line it's Celtic and it's we've just done the cheap option in January

and bought ourselves into this position so for me I'm working with what you've got you need to get the best players playing their best on the park and that's Tenecky and I think if you're trying to fit Tenecky in you're putting Maida through the middle and for me I think that's where the answer goes but the January window like just looking at the line up yesterday and seeing obviously Ox and Adamu got hooked off at our time Fanchara's not making off the bench and I must win game at Ibrook's Arthur's sitting on the bench and Vickers not in the squad it really I know what this isn't like as much of a fuck the board episode but the the statement about you know the minutes in the meeting about Michael Nicholson you know doing a good job how anyone in any position of authority and any kind of company survives a a mistake like that January window let alone all the other stuff it's crazy I mean if you look at the you know Teneck we brought him back he was on a free scales we brought from the lake of Ireland for a cup but 800,000 Murray's Academy graduate

Iroho's on loan Naked him was one and a half million McGregor's been there forever Oxlick Chamberlain was a free cut and a free free transfer Maida's been here for five years Adamu was a a loan signing and Yang was a couple of million from four or five years ago four years ago three four years ago there's nothing fresh about that side Keirin and as Lorenzo says yeah and the guy the people we brought about this isn't a criticism of the players this is just the criticism of the whole fucking system re-attack he comes off the bench re-attack he's been here for four years and Tenecky Teneck it's that she's on loan look me count we bought for a million pounds James forest is someone who has been here his whole career and obviously Tenecky was the Tenecky is the only one we've kind of really put any sort of money into this season to come off the bench it just shows you how flat everything is because people have either been here for a very long time or you know it's free transfers or it's guys like Oxlick Chamberlain who are and again again

no criticism of the players in terms of they turn up they do their job but from the club it looked perspective ranges of spent shit loads of money we've spent very little we should be beating them if we had spent any money I wonder if there's a position in football that's about doing Keirin scored building and scored management I guess we'll never know but yeah it's just that you've just got like again not to reiterate the point of building times but we've got lawyers accountants and just like small business owners cause playing as a football manager and chatting with agents turns out it's not a very effective way of building your team I do like Lorenzo's framing of this is like not a squat like a board hate an episode it's like the like the big bads and the x-files are buffy or something they've got a monster the monster of the weak standing roles hairline yeah I actually I've been thinking about I'm going to steal one of Stephen Russell's

points that I think I'd be quite interested to see as a as a potential solution of Negrin as a false nine because he just he just adds nothing in midfield all this best work is within 18 yards if not closer of the goal and I think it minimises his downside well takes advantage of what he's good at and like I know we're saying all you want somebody to hold up play none of our strikers are good at hold up play they're all fucking useless as an outlet so we might as well just have a guy who's a really really talented poacher in Negrin and I think maybe I'd have my young and then just keep using to neck there's an impact sub because the difference between him as a start on a sub is unbelievable ridiculous I'm not I'm not sure if there's something psychological there or whether he really does just benefit from tired players or what but yeah so I think I'd be quite curious to see I don't think that will happen but I'd be quite curious to see if that could be a potential solution

this is from Liam Liam says morning question for agenda how do we get the best out of this squad we seem to have the capacity to be to be both really shite and really good how can you configure it how do we get the best out of the midfield can tonight case impact games from the start how who the fuck plays up front can we finally like realise hooking it doesn't work in direct play but on the ground and through the lines really works for these players despite everything this league does sorry despite everything this league does seem there for us if we can just find a right approach and configuration consistently and obviously we've got that game line so against Aberdeen coming up do you think it will be do you think I mean he's a he's a question do you think we are going to approach the game the same way or do you think there'll be any sort of tweaks or changes yeah I don't know because it's tough to tell what is I mean that whole first half the only thing I think was what on earth are these players told to do what is actually happening it's tough to

know what the game plan is a lot of time which makes it hard to know what they would change or what they do differently if they can do and differently I think quite a lot of the idea of what can we configure how can we configure this team to win I think a lot of it is not putting two there's certain pairs across that park that if you put them both on the pitch you fucked up and I think that was what you thought from the line obviously when you saw Nicky and then obviously Jim went together that doesn't make sense you know there's a lot of that and it's should we don't have a very coherent plan for how this team's meant to play we don't have a coherent strategy for how we bring players in so I think you've got a lot of players that don't complement each other very well and quite a lot of your team selection for any given match I think is almost how to mitigate that that a lot of these players don't actually suit each other very well or suit the way we want to play because there isn't really a style of play and it's why as much as being quite a bit of derision about these system managers and managers with a philosophy it shows if you don't have a philosophy through the Spaniard team and idea of how you're supposed to play what a good performance looks like

you run into these you run into being a Celtic team fighting for the league where we're all judging you asking the question like how do you you know how do you pick a first level what do you do with these guys how do you who's going to put a front who can play midfield we're so dependent in the season it's crazy to have these conversations but I think it makes the job very very difficult for Martin Neal and I think a lot of it is about that if a player's played well in the last game I think you just need to put them in I don't think I think riding a hot hand is very much the way forward for this team and then we get it to the summer and we rip it all up but I think there's a lot of it is about mitigating potential disasters across the park then it is suddenly you know putting pieces together and the Jigsaw comes in front of you and it's like oh this is this team play well now for 10 games I don't think we're going to get it no I don't either I'd like to think we would I mean it kind of feels like you'd expect we have been we've said that so many times throughout this season maybe this will be the spark and maybe this will be the spark it's like that iris the development this never works for anybody but it might work for us

big Tobias he has a question from kev for I'll give us the keyran after watching some detailed analysis on yesterday it confirmed all my thoughts as to why it went so wrong initially why do we game after game against rangers have the goalkeeper play the long ball to a lone striker who simply cannot hold the ball up it happened eight times in the first half when do we realize this never works especially with a squad lacking in height and begin games with the thought process of when we play our football we're better than them and impose our build up play from the back of them from the onset thanks kev mccauley that's exactly what happened where we were just going long and then the second half we played it out and we created more chances our build up was better we created more opportunities negrin was dotting about on that kind of right hand side picking up space really really well and good points from kev what's your thoughts on it kevran yeah no no I probably agree I think there's that this isn't even something that I necessarily for I was at the ball really tactically naive this has been a problem that's basically

play Celtic managers since basically at least post the call glue if not going the weather bay back to Rogers for spelling charge or just on maybe Lenin where I just remember even post the call for all the brown football we played when we're against um who's the the Dutch guy they got today uh rope like final with do you have any van broggers that's the man um like even no we'd played brown football that for season when it became against rangers we would just shite shite the bed when we're trying to play out from the back and we just lump it forward and then they just so this is something that Celtic teams have consistently done against rangers and it's just been a consistent thing of that's how we've been losing these games that's how we've been up in winning them but when we do actually focus on quick build build up play through the pitch along the ground you know quick one two's drifting out wide actually taking advantage of rotations of space and it it we just overrun them um because because they have so much focus on directness

on physicality and that's just been a trend for various iterations of this this rangers team no matter which who the manager is um apart from Russell Martin but then that was there yeah there's own issues um I think I feel like it's just a weird institutional thing and to be honest this is evident this is going to a bit sort of grandstandin but I guess that's also been the Celtic ranger story for decades going all the way back to the 60s or where did they would have these big lump physical lumps would be direct football we'd be playing the really exciting football the the total football all the way back to testing um so I guess it's just carrying on a tradition in a sense um but yeah no I think hopefully I say this every time we we come away either regardless of the result against rangers is that hopefully we've learned the lessons where we can't out physical with these guys we can't out athlete them the way we do it is by taking advantage of you know I think we've lost a lot of technically good players over the last few years and not

replace them we've tried to get more physical footballers but I think a lot the recruitment has been so bad is that we've ended up with players who have craft physicality and a craft technically at the same time so we've you know we're talking about how a lot of these players that either shit loonies um or they're these I guess the last uh stalwarts from past lorries people like itati maida big reggaer teoni I think these are the guys we're gonna have to rely on in a sense who can't play that football who know how to beat rangers that it's the both the know how and the the the technique to actually fulfill that but I think there's also the lessons that have to learn from the management team that you know no longer can we just you know only we'll start a damu or chvanchara and just set lump it forward to them or lump it down the line we do have to that has to be a wake-up call that we don't have the players to do that that we do have to play a bit more intricate take advantage of players like maida reggaer, itati, tenecte, yang, try and be

a bit more technical a bit more precise and play along the ground rather than just being direct i'm not sure whether that will happen they seem quite set in their ways but hopefully maybe this could be the turning point when they realized that okay we've just not been playing to the player's strengths um but you know i guess we'll see i thought it was interesting i don't listen to open gold i'm not like snobbish about it i just i genuinely just don't listen to it i pick up snippets now and then but um and the holiday who i have no time or love for was they were asking them about who who would be a better manager what the mother will manager ask you where would they be better suited to go and Celtic arrangers and he said he would be better suited to Celtic because rangers just want to win but Celtic have to win and they have to win playing good football which i thought oh that's quite interesting for you to see that um i guess lenezo that's the that's the thing if we do kind of stumble into this league and do win it the big reset means that

will the board think to themselves well we won the league so we'll keep going and get a manager similar to the managers we've had or do they think ah now is the time that we probably have to reset does does the pressure of the kind of media scrutiny of Celtic is a lot of the media are obviously always really negative tip towards Celtic but it seems to be ramped up quite a bit we'll talk about uh Willie Hawley in a few minutes but like that do you think that pressure will kind of push something to change or if we win the league will they go ah everything's fine it's working the way we thought it would yeah i think there's probably just too many factors now this summer they feel like something's has to break there's also these promises it meetings you know there's there's to be some at least fake overall of the recruitment and things that is going to come out um even look at the ages of some of the players who have been there for a while if it had to he comes back in the form for 10 games you've locked out maybe you'll get some cash for them you know there's there's players of Maida who you promise can go he feels like he's absolutely got to go now there's going to have to be ah quite a massive change particularly in the

guys who you've just mentioned to have that muscle memory of beating rangers who know where it takes to win a league here a lot of them are going to have to go um whether you like it or not so it does feel like the the boards have will be forced in some way this summer whether it'll be super positive or whether it'll be kind of meaningless you know we've yet to see but it does definitely feel I think the criticism of the playing style and Celtic not being good this season I don't know if that would get to the board anymore than you know the the marketing optics of us of us not being free scoring whatever Celtic I think we got away with it under Rogers when it was bad to watch times because it was almost like this juggernaut and you had Brendan's ego behind it that you know Celtic find a way to win Celtic will make games difficult blah blah blah when we were under ange the home I know I'm the big ange I'm a big ange key and even talking I'm almost welling up when we were under ange being a Celtic fad and was way better everything meant more the I don't care really about the public perception of Celtic and a lot of people do

you know what's happening exterior to us doesn't really bother me I'm not one necessary for the super cuddly stuff across the world where I'm the same people have been upset about the protest because Celtic have a reputation in blah blah I don't massively care but I do think it we were at a very different time under ange when everybody knew about the football we were playing and it's why he ended up at the you know the Tottenham job it was a big deal for Tottenham to take a punt not a punt but take a guy from the Scottish Premiership the reputation of Celtic about how we played football and that should attract great players if the board had any willingness to go and get those great players and that's our reputation we have sent through the floor in recent seasons and there has to be a way to get that back even from a commercial standpoint and I do think ask who's the guy because I think the mother will story this season that is going to reach more corners than you would maybe expect I think they'll have an end to this season that will make them a really really big headline in some fashion whether it just means that they do something in Europe or they get to put in Europe I think you've got to jump on ask who I don't think he keeps

turning up the games and all that I know we're in a title challenge but I'm hoping that you know the the secret conversations have been had just before we get to the belly hole hey thing I just want to we briefly touched on this last weekend again we're not going to go too deep into it but meeting minutes from the collective meeting with the with Brian Wilson right and I just think some of these reactions and comments are quite stark so um board and executive executive accountability the collective set out the view that Michael Nicholson should not remain a CEO beyond the current season citing three major appointments tisdale nancy and hargraved car grieves viewed as detrimental to which two of which have been relieved of their duties repeated recruitment failings a poor management of managerial transition growing supporter boycotts and withholding of spending a breakdown of trust and credibility Brian Wilson confirmed he would convey the views expressed but stated that he but stated that he had faith in Michael Nicholson and considers his performance this season acceptable um from a process of recruitment and governance by by Brian Wilson acknowledges

mistakes had been made this season and the nancy's appointment was not good in circumstances are far from ideal however no specific failings were detailed it was confirmed that the recruitment processes under review but no detailed or timeline had was provided um in regards to the management stuff Brian Wilson confirmed that the process was the same as it had always been and cited previous successful managerial hires following this process such as martino nail in two thousand Gordon Stracken he went on to note that angposter colgley was a successful hire by the board and their recruitment system members of the collective expressed a review that angi's appointment reflected a current a recurring reliance on established personal and professional networks referencing perceived links between the city group and individuals formerly connected to the club's leadership essentially they're like like it worked we got angposter colgley and it's like hold on a fucking minute you were trying to get any out like like what we do Keenan and do we have

any city executives that we're still friends with uh or if we burn those bridges about oh yeah no we've burned those bridges as well so we can't exactly call Fargo Harken and ask if they've got any recommendations for managers this time so good luck yeah I work basically with the collective meeting minutes it just basically says we talked about this they agreed maybe there was something wrong but they didn't give any feedback in terms of timetables for change or change Lorenzo everything was being reviewed but there was no sort of process of how that review would be you know explain to the support or it's just we've taken your meeting be happy we've taken your meeting let's move on that's how it seems yeah and wait I think we talked about last week coming in the week before just a side of what is the goal here and it maybe bleeds into more of a theory that they're buying time sorry that was my that was my cap sorry press the button

I was wondering where that was the idea that they're buying time like there's a lot of it's almost like if you're in a a working meeting and somebody's asked you about an update on something it's on it that's on its way and it's there's improvement being made to it and you'll see it soon and one day you're going to maybe do all the night before you know this doesn't there's no transparency in anything it's Celtic and the easiest thing to do right now would have been to get some day in maybe or whatever and put a very clear thing in place of here's the time lines away and this is going to come we're going to change this we're going to bring this time we're going to do this and it could all be shite it could all be meaningless but it's quite an easy thing to do to keep face to do your job you know as I as a CEO and as a director etc but it just starts to confuse me as to what the plan is here for these individuals themselves because they are not covering themselves in glory they're not even covering their arses anymore it's just a lot of deflection and pushback and things like being visibly you know this interested in meetings what is

the you know what is the goal here from this guys they're not even bothered enough to like do crisis PR whether like they bring in like a Malcolm Tucker character to be like okay we need to get the fucking we need to get out there we need to get our line out there don't even bother with that they just send out mad statements it's just it's it's not even like early 90s you know like would you call them Alistair Campbell stuff it's like 1987 it's Soviet Union stuff or it's like I don't say it and it'll be fine but there was news this week about Willy Hawi coming out it basically did an interview on go radio while Celtic were playing Stuttgart and released his plans which well I'll read some of his comments here some of his quotes right and we can talk through them and I'm going to look I'm going to look at setting something up I believe that the 54,000 season ticket holders are are the core they're the heartbeat of Celtic I'm going to set up a thing called the season ticket alliance I'm going to pay for it I'm not looking for money from anybody

what I'm offering is for every 10,000 fans that join I'll put two million pounds into buying shares for the trust if we take all the shares of the people who joined through the trust if everyone joins that's 10 million pounds they will be gifted to the trust it won't be owned by me I think we have to get something that all the fans can get behind let's get harmony let's get the green brigade back in the stadium let's get everyone singing from the same shim he having the sheet I'm going to get a Celtic legend to front it I've got that done hopefully in the next few weeks there'll be more details the long-term play is to get enough people behind us that we can go to the club and this should be the vehicle as to how the fans can get their viewpoint over the over to the club maybe even potentially in years to come I've not shared the plan with Dermott but I've shared it with the board I don't want anything to be surprised for them what was the reaction are we bit of disbelief but there was no angst but this is a separate entity this is not a puddle for the board the easiest thing for me to do with the club clubs board would be to say that's great that's great give us the fact give us the database but we want to get the fans to get

in touch with us what would Dermott think Dermott's a winner he's been a winner all of it say this is the better I think there's just a better way of saying yeah so the 54,000 season tickets the alliance which is going to be free going to raise 10 million pounds it'll represent approximately 5.26% of shareholders at Celtic it doesn't grant any control but it is in provide it is intended to provide a seat at the table and for the support the season ticket alliance guys us I guess to demand AGMs and EGMs not EGMs sorry EGMs emergency meetings and stuff um what ends all just your initial thoughts on it because it's yeah it's interesting yeah I mean I think interest is the world it seems on the face of it I don't see any huge I don't see any massive negatives and I think that we are at a stage here where we are going to have a few different

groups who see an opportunity at Celtic um I think if this is as transparent as you know his initial interview might make it seem that he's going to make it then there's not really going to be a big negative here I think if he's aiming for things like getting the Green Brigade back in Australia I'm getting the fans together this idea of fans having a voice I don't think he's pretending too much the this is going to fix everything in a sense that it's going to enact any real change but what it will do is a man who has the means uh being able to be the figurehead in the front for some sort of effect some sort of positive influence uh which can only be good I think sometimes Celtic fans think we're going to struggle whatever happens with the board thing here of getting caught up in the personalities of who are going to be involved they're going to be millionaires so they're probably not going to be you know yeah the kind of guys you're desperate to to believe in and back that's just the nature of guys who are millionaires uh but if it's if it can

be transparent if it can be without begging for uh what was it you know five thousand pound lifetime memberships and things like that then you know maybe that's a positive um and this is a kind of thing we need to see so I'll I'll wait to see how the Celtic legend is who's fronting that if it's Neil Lennon would be great and I I know who it is do you yeah I'll tell you later okay all over tably yes it's staying money it's staying money oh god so we're going to do we're going to have one really big fuck up every everyone these EGMs well yeah yeah you'll unintentionally sell the club but you'll sell it you'll sell it to the city group in the island now um Keen and what's your kind of take on it again as we say it's it's a lot of taking yeah yeah I'm not sure I think it's one to to watch a monitor um I know like you know I know Chris Sutton had his comments about is this wonderful one very exciting thing I'll reserve judgment with it and I think what the

collective are trying to do in the more I guess grassroots um form a protest and and uh something I'm more inclined with because I feel this I just don't I'd be delighted to be proven wrong I just don't think anything practical or tangible can be going down this route um but well what can this well it's it's better than nothing what I mean you say not for free if you're a season to go that you sign up for free right so you're not putting any money up so and if he gifts the 10 million quid to the trust and it does lead to having function on the board it will make a difference well because you can pull you can ask for accountability you can raise questions you can you can call for EGMs now does that will that force their might desmond into buying more shares or you know doing something drastic one way or the other it

might it might not it might not change a lot but I think it's something it could be if if it's let if it works the way we hope it's going to be work how it's going to work could be something slightly tangible I still think the collective protesting I agree with your kid and that should be the food and drink of what we want to do in terms of a Celtic movement but I think this effort kind of if if it comes with what I like the fact they mentioned the Green Brigade as well getting the Green Brigade back in and stuff so I think there's there's an opportunity to be positive at least key in what again so yeah lately yeah it's better than nothing but I just think it's an attempt to find a bridge where it's impossible to find one basically and then this is not the idea I do think we should absolutely try every ever new began but I just we look at these characters in the board they're they're not going to be in their view bullied by normal fans to bring in

the Green Brigade back or to enact change or whatever like I think something like that they would absolutely turn the nose up with and they'll show complete this this day and for but you're right gal which that doesn't mean we shouldn't at least try it as an option and if if if season to go others they don't they're not putting anything in that you know that's that's absolutely fair enough but I do I do think just keep maintaining our escalating the the protest is the best route forward also I completely understand looking at someone like Willie Hawley with complete and utter you know question questionable eyes um because I don't you know I've he said some pretty well things about paint acts which recovered a while ago and and and stuff like that but I guess my enemy's enemy is my friend in a way I don't mean it's I don't know I've not been keeping up with all these comments does he feel like an enemy of the you know of Dermott Desmond no I feel like a guy who obviously is a philanthropist to a point um 10 million pounds is not obviously I that's small some of my money

but it's also I mean go he owns go radio you know that was great content that's going to be a lot of eyes on go radio all this kind of stuff there's a lot of you know there's a there's always a commercial aspect to being philanthropic um I think that's the question is once this once this all heart if this happens and it's over the line are we then going to hear statements about how now we must stop all this division and we must unite because you've got your seat at the table and this is this is all you're getting and that's perfect and Dermott is so happy to have you here at the table and that's all we've ever wanted and is that is that what's going to happen that would be my fear yeah I think well again this is just the initial kind of it's not even a kind of road map to where they want to go it's just an initial kind of this is what we're going to do I imagine there will be more of a road map map to how to get to where where they want to go and and I think it's it's it's okay to be quite skeptical because again while he's pals way all the boat you know he knows Dermott Desmond and all that so you do have to question his

what's his motivation for it but we'll see I'm skeptical but I'm trying to keep an open mind at the same time and again if it doesn't cost you anything if it's not costing the average fan if anything and it can give us some sort of ability to hold them to account even if it is just saying we want to eat an EGM and emergency meeting and we just want to say what the fuck you doing do you know what I mean like so but we'll get there anyway from one Celtic discussions of a Celtic legend to Neil Lenin boy who'd Liverpool fan of course I don't know if that's true I say that just to be annoying just to know him this is what Neil Lenin said after the game against Stuttgart there was something so this is about Celtic and the Celtic board something was not right in the summer in terms of the recruitment I don't know what it was oh do you know okay there was some grievances with Brendan who was definitely disconnected and you could see the reasons why at the end of it there's no director of football that needs to be addressed overall the recruitment

has been disappointing you're not going to get it right every year but I do add value to some of the fans questions as to why they didn't spend more money or bring more quality in certainly with CCV out he's been a big loss I just love the way he just names one player as if like oh that's the golden bullet they knew he was out long term but didn't bring in a mature set or half into complement scales they might have turned to complement scales what are we doing surprisingly they just didn't call them scales Liam they might have tried to do that Johnny's always a tough win of course there are valid questions to be asked there are valid questions to be asked of the board but over the piece over the 15 years the board's record has been impeccable I don't think you know as when impeccable means yeah but it's the one season that might be a blotch in that record now that's very peccable yeah it's the board are very peccable

and any sad to tell me again it's just like we're just being gaslit that what you're seeing is not happening so I think we're on this run that bow though we're on last year bowder in the quarter finals and they've got a winnable tie so you're not going to get it every year he keeps saying we're not going to get it right every year bowdo is maybe an exception to the rule this year they've had the European Cup it was Europa League semi conference semi that's the exception to they're loving the exception to the rule part that's been annoying they've all been given the emails this week yeah they have their own way of doing things the salary cap you can't do that it's Celtic it good so that's a positive that makes us better yeah um they just they just saying Norwegian and Danish players good we can sign anyone so that makes us better that makes it easier this is great Leo you're doing so well you the Celtic would have to reset and just sign Scottish and Irish players like like what what are you talking about what to be like bowdo glimbe we only sign Scottish

we have to have a salary cap what's the UK and then they'd have to have a four or five year plan heaven for fend are the fans going to willing to sacrifice domestic dominance to build a team for Europe in four or five years time we don't have domestic dominance anymore that's a question actually what's annoying me too much he had isn't he out he opened with you know he had isn't the first half he gave his um is like stooge lip service speech there came with some smattering of of fact the very starts but is anything oh you're learning a bit to say something about and then he looks all the way back around does he does his little pirouette turns and shows he's asked for the board he's embarrassed really is he just do you know he I've said this before and I'm saying again he doesn't speak like a Celtic fan he speaks like someone who is a fan of the board of the Celtic Celtic could go on a slide and in five years time if it's the same

board and charge he would say well you know the dynamics of Scottish football have changed and no one's had to ever deal with this and blah blah blah blah in my opinion he's he's just he's not at them like a fan and people say he shouldn't act like a fan well you shouldn't act like a board stooge if you think you know it's the whole thing of the when the the whole thing starts to change and collapse teal by the first to say well actually Celtic really needed to modernize a lot sooner didn't they I yeah they really did because he want to get on the quote tails in the next guys anyway Celtic buddy some team very peccable very peccable and in terms of the some news we're linked to the players Cameron Achea who's a Huddersfield 20 year old we're also linked with those two plumeth plumeth like plumeth archailles strikers they might be good but what do you want to

sign only Scottish nice players guys I don't you don't want to be the new bulldog hint um so um I bulldog him in mother will manage our genes Bertol asco says speculation linking him with Celtic is something that we cannot stop and some quotes for him I don't know if it's disrespectful but I don't think it's anything you can avoid it's not something I need to comment on or anything because it's something that we cannot stop there's a little bit of noise and speculation but the good thing is I'm here I'm really pleased with that Celtic have a job to do as well that's why I don't feel need to comment on these things everyone needs a piece in quiet to finish the season strongly even just talk really well he wants it he wants it ask you um insisted fur park is getting overexcited about the situation it's an environment that we've pushed from day one that we don't want to get obsessed or excited they're affected by what happens around us we focus what we can control I took like I don't know if he's the guy but he might be and I do think I think the idea of him becoming the Celtic manager genuinely frightening but also exciting

Lorenzo I know that you're I think you're already sold I'm sold I just I think you can overcomplicate a managerial appointment I think this is a guy who has figured out Scottish football the fact that I think the people got caught up a few months ago or the beginning of the season sorry when you know we were done so badly and there was the Nancy stuff coming in and some people then were asked and even just about like you know everyone on the radio like you know certainly she's going to get this ask you he's playing such great football and the chat then was yeah things playing great football but you know how do you level that up he's playing phenomenal football great football watch and the defense is the strongest in Europe you know they don't concede goals they dominate games massively you're just giving this guy better players to do that with I know it's not like he's had a completely impeccable you know runners a manager up to now but you have to act on the information it's a front of you there's not other candidate for me anyway I get that there's you know you've talked about other candidates in different countries unless there's some

wild structural change as well a lot of what I'm thinking is who can come in and do a job in the situation we're in yeah we're gonna do a great job and I think ask you someday with his personality with the fact he clearly has on players you mentioned Andy Howard earlier Andy Howard he's been injured a lot of the time from other all this season doesn't put out a football so he's on he's a pundit a lot of the time but I hate to say this Andy Howard he's been a very good pundit this year and a lot of different things I've seen him he speaks a little bit about a football he seems he talks about our school as if it's almost feels like some of these like pulled the hood over it off his head and now we can actually see football and you can see how he's supposed to play it the comment you said he made a bit Celtic it just feels like this is a guy and you hear the mom mother will push talk about him and the effect he has on players they buy in and I think Celtic is a club I thought if they're not going to go out and spend the money they should to go compete you need an angel level personality you need somebody that players want to lift their game for who could fall in behind and that idea of a philosophy being your benchmark

for what a good performance is is a big deal for me and you've heard ask you talk about that a lot it's not a case of we have to play a certain way and I'll I'll never die by that way and you can't change it it's that this idea of how you're supposed to play tells you whether you've played well or not tonight what if it was a good game tonight because you did the things you're supposed to do everything went certain ways and he talked about that when they were drawing at the start there was a lot of confidence in the way they were playing and that things will come together I just would love somebody like that it's Celtic and I appreciate the jump from mother will be immense but I don't think he seems like a guy who's affected by pressure and I think that when mother will be as it for parquets the most destroyed I've seen Celtic play from a football perspective as far as just from a technical it's like we're playing a European team and obviously there was lots of factors around us as well but Keirin it feels like obviously they mentioned there about the review process for everything we're doing is under consideration but it does just feel like

it does feel like they're just going to go with what's in front of them they're not going to go and go and get you know the next farie only or the next you know you know anyone who's doing something special somewhere else they're either going to go and get Robbie Keen because they know who he is or they'll get asked because they can see what he's done he would be the one that from that perspective I would take him over fucking Robbie Keen or any of these chumps any day the week or they might go and look Alex knew he was doing a job in Millwall fuck I someone said that they're the day that they've done really well that's terrifying yeah no I I think I agree I think it's like similar to what we're discussing about the the Keirin Broway discussions in January we can absolutely do better or somewhere with a more compelling CV do I trust the people in charge to go and source or reach out or contact or build a relationship with those people absolutely not so I think ask her is that this this probably

comes across are some intense but it's the least worst option but I still think he could potentially be a good one is what mother was doing is increasingly impressive and I think you know it's not something they're not on a fluky run like hearts have been a fair bit they're they're underlying stats are back and up that this is just you know we get the combination of you can watch them they are just playing good football good controlling football and they're just not conceding me it's not like they've had teams of misloads of sitters against them they are just like limiting teams really well while creating lots of chances so I think Lorenzo is right I think the Nancy debacle really highlighted and I think the thing with O'Neill as well I think this has been a season that's really drawn into relief what a successful long-term Southwick manager needs it's not enough to have a coherent philosophy like Nancy did it's not enough to be a great man manager like O'Neill

and it's not enough to be have that sort of charming you know LinkedIn speak way that Rodgers had about him or Rodgers and his second spell had about him you need to combine all three to be a successful manager Rodgers and his first spell had it plus the Cogler had it you need to have be both a system manager a philosopher if they like have a coherent style a coherent philosophy but you also need to win over a very established set of players you need to win over a massive fan base a very demanding fan base you need to win over a ruthless and gutter press in Scotland and you also just you need to be able to communicate those ideas and win over but you get by and with stand the pressure you need all of it to be a successful Southwick manager and I think I ask you is showing obviously I think the big question mark is just the jump up because it is such a massive jump up and I think Lorenzo's right to call out his temperament because he does

seem very calm very measured he is taking the long view like the best managers do so I think I'm coming around more and more to it being a good appointment I still think I would be curious to see the other types of CVs we could attract because I do think we can get more compelling candidates but there's not a chance in hell we'll be looking to you know people are doing well mid-tab like via cano or whatever and la league of not hoping hell that we were looking to those kind of guys so I do absolutely 10 times out 10 ask you over Robbie Keane on Alex Neil type figure absolutely and look we're not going to have time to do the squad stuff but we'll maybe leave that for the weekly on on Thursday and but we will have scenarios of course scenarios player addition oh oh thanks Keane there we go okay four scenarios to each and then we'll define a one we'll get both your perspective Lorenzo scenario number one Celtic allow Casper Michael to leave

but replace him with an older goalkeeper similar and status but with the exact same trajectory which is a good for season and a fucking honken second season or we bring in a shit hot young goalkeeper but he has a tendency to make mistakes in that for season and they come in big games but he's a shit hot young goalkeeper I'm just what I am sick of is the mistakes it's the issue so I'll listen I'll go for the older keeper either want mistakes I think the the last thing I want I said the keeper to be doing is make mistakes they face less shots in the league that's why again why Casper's stats stack up so badly he's got to be alert and awake and if you make one mistake they're always crucial particularly in the big game so I'll go for the guy that's make mistakes okay fair enough I don't know who that goalkeeper would be now in terms of like

Joe Hart Casper Michael who would be an older goalkeeper David James kicking a boss still now yeah very enough um he easily still as she is he still smoking fags in the bottle on a bench yeah I think he might retire this summer what have we played he was by the way okay scenario two for keyring Celtic spend a chunk of our transfer budget for next season banging in Araho but that's offset with A.T. and Donovan leaving or we don't sign Araho but Alsor Johnson comes back we don't know what state he's in but he comes back and Donovan is available too so essentially do you offset your budget by bringing in Araho or do you not do that and you see the state Alsor Johnson and Jab Donovan because in the first scenario it's probably Nelson there's your backup that's a very very good point I feel like you that should be underlined for a size bold

font 20 no that might be a deciding factor for me to be honest um let I fucking love Araho I know we had a shaky defensive thing like like first half yesterday I think it's been point like I you know for always primarily Murray's wrist error he doesn't look great for the second goal but I just I just love him I think he's my favorite Celtic fullback since JJ I think he's excellent but I feel like I'm a bit bit a massive hypocrite about wanting to give pathways to youth players and because I really like Donovan if I didn't go for option two because I I feel like Donovan I think you know I guess it's not and he's been better than Murray obviously when he's been played but I think there's a little things here like again Stukert for example there were several times where a German international winner for example did Skinima a couple of times but I do think that he's been very impressive at other times he's still a teenager there's a lot

like the building blocks there to develop at least a Celtic regular um so on the premise of that I think I'd go with option B fair play scenario three Lorenzo okay Celtic sell angles for good money but his replacement is the ox and Mulligan from Hibbs or Celtic keep angles but we don't bring in any other midfielders till January yeah um I don't care about the money it's not my money fair off um so I think having angles would be better than having Mulligan and the ox so I'll go with angles fair enough good one yep scenario four uh okay we bring in Braga from hearts as our forward signing of the summer and we retain Big Tam and they play together as our striking forward line or we count on our current recruitment system to bring in two players

um yeah I go for option A um option B I don't think that needs an explanation I think that everybody can ensure that one for themselves uh option A Jvanshara um unconvinced by is imagine a lot of people are and that is like him and Braga are fairly similar if Braga is a more polished version of they've got like they can be quite anonymous or quite crap for 30 minutes then produce a real moment of magic out of nowhere um what did I do I think it's sustainable I think I mentioned before it's not sustainable if you've got 11 players like that by do think they've got a good attributes whereas Jesus Christ God knows what yeah two boys yeah yeah two boys for Plymouth um scenario five we'll get both your questions with the points from it scenario five we bring in askoo is Celtic manager but we make little to no changes to the squad

or Maloney and Fatheringham are given the job and a big budget to turn the team around so do you want askoo with this squad or do you want Maloney and Fatheringham with a big budget Keirin which thoughts um askoo because I want to be mostly invested in Celtic again um I want to like believe I think if it was like he'd be a good idea of that he'd be building a project or building something long term um so for all it would be very very disheartening to that I'll just have very little change I do think the squad of players with a better manager can be better and it would be nice that would feel like the hopeful the start of something again wise I just feel like with Maloney and Fathering for all this that I've done a good job but they're very likable they're very well liked it would feel just like continuing to spin the wheels even if they're given lots of money yeah fair point Lorenzo I know I've been missed that askoo on this pod but Maloney Maloney Maloney you give askoo the squad of players you're not really you know you're not

buying in them you're not getting the askoo experience you're not getting players who can play fast putty stunters with Stephen Adorno we can probably play an obstinate kaffoo um oh god I don't know I think depends how much money and depends if they spend it I will at one point we'd have the same bad recruitment so let's forget it with them just say and go with askoo fair enough fair enough um we have two games this week we've got Aberdeen on Wednesday and then we've got obviously Rangers in the scotch cup on Sunday at ibrox um here's our final question of the day it's from David K um for the agenda and the key in support group the apathy is still rife I still have no belief in our ability despite us being all the get out of jail cards to stay in this race perhaps if slash when we win on Wednesday and we go second in the league the rascan niggles at the end of the game should the wee bit of fight that we want this I think we need to lean into the aggression and fight for the league are the players capable it's a good question Lorenzo thoughts on David's point Aberdeen coming

up Rangers coming up give me a thought on all three yeah I think there's um there's some fight there's bite in this team but I don't know if there's literally playing on the park physical aggression in off-speak like I think Rangers next week I think we have to lean into Aberdeen I think we'll take care of itself in a way I don't think that'll be a game that needs what like it doesn't need a feisty attitude it needs a team committed and and playing their best football I think with Rangers next week the way the game ended there I think we need to lean into the neglect the niggles you know and lean into the are all whining them up and things like that in the old school can I say I'm a spot in the scoreboard type vibe I don't think the select team can come out in the first half and start putting bodies on Rangers players I just don't they are very very big and I think what we we kind of need a ropa dope Rangers a bit I think they really did just run themselves into the ground that first half they're not that good you know Dan Murray's error was by defending and I fucking crazy wonder goal that he's you know not pulling off every week

you take that out you're not looking at a team that they dominated us but it's not like they were smattering the goal an aggressive amount I think you need lean into this idea the psychological aspect of it more than the aggression that you you're not going to be us like you know you know you need to get used to this that it's just gonna you're gonna come up short and I think they are used to that I think that's in quite a lot of their heads I think you see players like Raskin they just start those games and they're all on fire and they're they smiling at the cameras he knows where every camera is and he sees the fans second half he fucking disappears he disappears because suddenly it's a game of football now yeah you know and a few other players are like that and I think Celtic need to always need to put your strength and I think Celtics are just that that they have good footballers and they've got a composed you know that it plays like a tattoo the guys changed the game for us are not guys coming on and putting the foot in and shouting and pushing players there are guys who can rise above that and I think Celtic need to lean into that this idea of rising above they can have physical aggression and just

I thought McGregor was good when he talked about making it a game of football I think that would really get in your head that would really piss you off this idea that well if you just want to go about pushing yourself find whatever you can't actually it's another one of these things like if somebody's shouting at you outside a pub or whatever maybe that's a bad example because that does happen here nobody's going to actually nobody's actually going to battery it's only on football actually this is the reference like when they're all pushing each other he nobody's actually going to punch you square in the face nobody's going to start kicking your head then so you can wind up people as much as you want you can be the big man I think Celtic need to just let them do that and sit above it and wind them up and embrace it beautiful like Shakespeare he was a he was a winged up bodyweight not me I said so he was Keenan you're kind of thoughts on David's as we finish up when they obviously Aberdeen Rangers everything coming up I'm just like an idea of like Hamlet and Paul Meesco was just winding Jesse Buckley up the entire thing but we're not there I mean a kid is in a way yeah if you think about it prick yeah that's true go and see Hamlet and then you see how Paul Meesco it's about

that prick in it no it's not about Paul Meesco you know that it's not happened well good Irish boy it is a good boy I he's probably that time as well so Keenan sorry yes no and I know it's no I I agree and I just think it is just it is that like that battle mentality without dropping to their levels without just going in for like to know a raw two-footers no trusted two-footers plays no stupid fouls that seers is an immediately on their disadvantage because I'd be I'd imagine trusted probably will probably welcome back in for the cup for the cup game yeah I think it'd be that I think we can talk about that this week sorry yeah but yeah I think yeah so I think it is just take taking the lessons we learn from that second half both and still tactically the style of play but also that we know

we can get under their skin and I'm really I'm really hopeful that they will just be so rattled by us getting that last minute equalizer by the way we just played them off the park in the second half I really hope that does something to them that we've seen it before when they think you know there's that joke about the Rangers manager cycle when they're a genius and then just something tips them over the edge and then they completely crumble yeah I'd be quite nice if that starts in this weekend again like we just might as they're like get under the skin completely maybe sneaking early go their fans turn on them and we get a massive win that helps us keep staying to a competition that'd be great absolutely um I will certainly cover the games um this is the agenda for the week uh you're listening to the agenda which drops every Monday of course tomorrow we'll have a debrief with well we'll look ahead we'll look back at the Rangers game we'll look ahead to the Aberdeen game as well which is on the Wednesday Wednesday itself we'll have the reaction to the Aberdeen game we'll also have the Celtic wounds football show with Lorenzo Claire and uh
