0:00America leads the world in medicine development. It matters. We get new medicines first nearly three years faster. Five million Americans go to work because we make medicines here at home and not relying on other countries keeps us safe. But China is racing to overtake us. Will we let them or will we choose to stay ahead? When America leads, America cures. Let's tell Washington to keep us in the lead. Learn how at americancures.com. Pay for it by pharma. Welcome to the level up podcast. I'm your host Paul Alex. I went from being a cop to a figure entrepreneur that helps average people like you and me make money every single day. I created this podcast to help you get motivated and to crush your goals. Let's win together. Remember, I have your six. Get ready to level up right now. What's up everyone? Welcome back to the level up podcast. I'm Paul Alex and today we're tackling a dangerous habit that disguises itself as hustle. The addiction to urgency.
1:02Because let's be real. If you only feel productive when everything is on fire, you are running a crisis center, not a company. And if you're constantly putting out fires, you're never building the house. Let's break down how to stop confusing chaos with progress without losing your edge. First, realize that a lack of planning on their part does not constitute an emergency on yours. Too many people think instantly replying to every panicked message makes them a great leader. It doesn't. If you're dropping high level strategy to handle a minor hiccup, you are training your team to be helpless. Whether it's a demanding client, a broken link, or a delayed shipment, urgency only dictates your schedule if you allow it. If you react to everything, you kill your focus. Second, build firewalls, not just fire extinguishers. People don't scale by getting faster at solving identical problems. They scale by building systems that prevent the problems from happening in the first place. So instead of wearing your daily stress like a badge of honor, audit the bottleneck. Make your standard operating procedures the hero, not yourself.
2:08Lastly, embrace the quiet. When a business is actually running correctly, it should feel a little boring, predictable cash flow, calm communication, and smooth operations create a fortress. When you drop the drama, you raise the revenue. Bottom line, constant adrenaline is a terrible business strategy. Stop chasing the fires, start building the systems, and let the operation run smooth. Because when you do, you'll scale quieter and larger than ever. Thanks for tuning into the level of podcast. I'm Paul Alex reminding you, peace of mind is the ultimate KPI. Protect your schedule, kill the chaos, and as always, keep leveling up. Thanks for listening up to the level of podcasts.
