TFL Lost Property: 250K Items Found in 2024-2025

0:00On March 4, Transport for London has shared its latest loss property stats from the underground, buses, overground, Elizabeth Line, and more. From April 2024 to March 2025, staff picked up 252,063 items in total. Among the stranger fines were 1,289 pieces of footwear, though only 9 got reclaimed. Tools and equipment number 499, with just 21 owners coming back for them. Claims overall dropped compared to the year before, when numbers were higher for documents, financial papers, and valuables. This year saw 6,176 documents and 7,321 financial items turned in. Cash handed and amounted to 276,796 pounds, down slightly from 283,048 the previous year. Wallets, purses, jewelry at 4,866 pieces, and 13,442 pairs of glasses filled the office too.
