Texas Longhorns Defy Odds in NCAA Tournament

They've won three straight games, starting with the first four in Dayton, Ohio, then taking down North Carolina State, Brigham Young University, and number three, Gonzaga. Coach Miller points to the depth of the southeastern conference as the reason they're ready for this run, saying no game gives them an easy edge. Miller knows tournament success well from his past stops. He coached Xavier to the Elite 8 twice and did the same with Arizona before landing in Austin. That experience has the Long Horns believing they belong on this stage. Fans and players alike see Texas as more than a surprise team. Miller made it clear after the Gonzaga win that they're not chasing a Cinderella label. Representing the University of Texas in the SEC means they expect to compete with the best. Looking ahead, Texas faces Purdue on Thursday for a trip to the Elite 8. The Boilermakers reached the National Championship game just two years ago, so another upset would be huge.
