I see the vision. Let's talk about the vision and how the Houston Texans can execute what they are planning to do and the team that they're planning to be in 2026. Also what's next for the draft and I got to end off the day show, giving kudos to Nick Kacerio. By the way, did y'all like how I opened up the show? 3:05million work up to $23 million. We're looking at eight point, we're looking at eight million per year when his market value before the signing was hovering around 10 million. So you're looking at Houston getting the $2 million discount, again, Kudos to Nick Assyrio there. I've been against to move for four while now from a standpoint of, listen, why it tell us age and injury really concern me, and we are a long way from 2021, 2022 when he was at his peak of being one of the better guards in the NFL. Now when I look at that, and he's a Houston Texan now, I'm not going to, I'm not going to go on the run up. This is the wrong idea. This is the wrong move. This is the wrong signing. I'm not going to do that because all of that said, I mean, hey, man, I think this is an attempt from Casario to rebuild what was a failure 2025, 2024, 2023, the Texans have

4:09been in last place or close to the last in the league in terms of rushing success. And this is a team that says DeMico has arrived, has said he wanted to be a tough, hard nose rushing team. They ain't going to ever do that, they ain't as much as they say that. We believe in mantras and affirmations and speaking it to an existence, well, they may finally be able to speak it into existence because Nick Assyrio didn't just speak, he got out there and work and put in a work to get it to existence. So that's what we're going to look for from the 2026 season. But before we even get to a point of talking about what would the new offensive line look like, you know, we knew that an overhaul or facelift was needed, kind of mandatory, right? After the last game of the year, when they played the New England Patriots and I go back to this that eight yards on 12 carries in the first half, right? That was a problem. Texas finished that game with 2.2 yards per carry.

5:12So we knew no matter how it looked, the Houston, Texas had to overhaul the offensive line. And in many ways, this would be the third, maybe the fourth time. In some way, shape form of fashion, Nick Assyrio has had to overhaul or facelift the offensive line since arriving back in 2021. And listen. The Ohio's track record with a young interior offensive line is far from decent, far from decent. That's how bad it's been, right? So I've always been in the forefront of replacing the weak links on the online with Vets with resumes behind them to back it up. And he did that. So regardless of how I feel about why I tell the regardless of some of the things that may have come out of some sources and circles from the Cleveland Browns, Assyrio feels like with the addition of Teller, with the addition of Smith and Brown and bringing back the guys he brought back, he feels like this is his attempt to not hurt Houston's future while

6:17reclaiming, well, not reclaiming, but fixing what's been an issue since he's arrived to the Houston, Texas, right? He's riding his wrong. This is his attempt to ride his roads and you know what, I can see the vision. This move is probably the final move of adding three new offensive linemen to the roster. Houston now has Wyatt Teller, Brady Smith, Evan Brown, they added some guys that got some camouflage, some overall, some mud boots, right? And they got the mud boots type of energy on that offensive line now. No more drip, no more dripper drown, right? None of that, right? And I think that's kind of important. The characteristics of what Houston had before compared to what they will have. Now I think it's extremely important. We've talked about it a lot and this isn't a shot at those guys personally, but the Houston Texas offensive line, I'm not going to call it a soft, I'll lead it to you guys, but the Houston Texas offensive line, when you look at what they failed at the last two

7:19seasons, but specifically last year, that was a terrible short yard that you weren't blocking to you. It's not as hard to talk about it in a locker room interview that I had. Well, he wanted to get better at it. He put in the work to get better at it. However, he'll be better at it and Cleveland, hopefully. But in short, yard of situations, we will see this offensive line routine lose reps, especially against elite tackles when they came to whenever the Houston Texas play elite tackles. You look to see out of game, when you play against Jeffrey Simmons, Chris Jones, the featuring game and the playoffs, there's another game that I'm forgetting. But you're looking at the camouflage energy, the mud boost overall, like those guys are going to come in and take pride in just being nasty blockers on the inside, they want to move a body, right? And that is important. This is a team in Houston that rushed to ball for 3.9 yards per carry last season, had a high stuff rate of 21% second worst in the league, when a rushing success rate of 34% I think that was also a second worst in the league as well.

8:24The hope is Wyatt Tiller at left guard, Ingram and right guard, and the best man at center, which I currently think is Evan Brown, who do Houston Texas sign to a one year deal. All right. The hope is they will be able to change that for the Houston Texas. The hope is, with Tiller, he provides the consistency and a stronger foundation for the young book area and tertiary and provides balance to that left side of the offensive line. And also the hope is David Montgomery, right, when he used to take the train for the hope is he feels at home, right? I mean, you build the offensive line to fit any scheme. So for Kaylee, play calling isn't limited like it was in 2025, right? And also for Montgomery, he can be the back Houston needs. The preseason goal for the O-Liong to stand should look like this. Taking the Russian attack from 3.9 yards per carry to a 4.3 yards per carry, they may

9:27not seem like a huge jump, but that's a realistic minimal yet impactful jump from year to year. And last thing I want to leave you with, right? Here's another goal of the Houston Texans, right? We get to the preseason and the previous two seasons, maybe dated back to 2023, but I know for sure, the first two years with Daniel Hunter, we would come out of the preseason and we'll say, well, the Texans offense got their tail woke today, day after day after day after day, the offensive line couldn't do nothing with them guys. The Texas offensive line should, the two goals should be, we're going to go from 3.9, 4.3, and when we train to camp, going up against wheel and the near wheels and the cut track year, where he's going to get his money, but the deal just got an extension and that defense, we're not going to leave day after day of the reports are getting our tail woke. Those are the two goals for this offensive line now, right? Let's throw that out there. But another thing that I want to leave you guys with before I transition, with a great

10:31running game, which is what this Houston Texan team is aiming to establish. What does that help establish a great passing play, play action game, right? In 2025, you want to know who was the best play action quarterbacks in the league, Matthew Stafford, 4.6 yards per carry from his backfield. Oh, that's what Nick Kelly came from. So he knows what a good backfield can do for a quarterback, right? Sam Donnell, we know and we saw what Kenneth Walker was able to do in the regular season, or so in the playoffs, and they also had Jackson Smith and Jigman. So you're looking at Houston, would Niko, if they could get back to a place which I'm going to get to, where the running game is opening up so much for their office, this could be a completely different offense in 2026. And also the third quarterback, Jerk Off, 4.6 yards per carry from his backfield, which featured newly acquired David Montgomery.

11:32So that goes back to the point of making sure he feels at home. He's going to come to Houston, he's going to fall a little bit of Houston, he ain't going to leave Houston. But he don't want to get hit in the backfield often, right? That's been a problem for the Houston Texan the last couple of seasons, especially last year. So this is Houston's attempt at making sure that these guys that they're bringing in, what they provide is something that can help office blind play to the best of their abilities. David Montgomery, Woody Marx, had better run the opportunities and also to the quarterback. What element did the Texas Miss in 2025 compare to Strauss first two years, the play action game struggled, right, 3.9 yards per carry, we'll lead to a struggling play action game. This is also in a tip to make it easy on Strauss and get him back to a place of comfort while also limiting any chance of Strauss having to be Superman. So do I love the move, do I love the signing, not necessarily because of things that I

12:32would tow behind the scenes, but I can't sit here in front and not act like Nick Serio ain't put his best foot forward. Now, speaking about putting your best foot forward, we have to look forward to the future and about five weeks in a field draft will be here. Houston got some picks. What should they do now that the office of blind feels like everything is shaping now. To the best that it could be more like the one Texas talk on today's show. 15:40Lockdown Texans dot supercast dot com and like I said, man, I think Duke is going to take it all. I think it's out of Duke and Arizona when I watch Duke Playball, it feels like no matter what star they play, no matter what offensive pushes be made like defensively, they match any offensive intensity that a team throws out there. And also offensively for Duke, they give it back, right? They give it back. So I think it's great team. I think Arizona is one of those teams where they could just win ball games and win tough ball games. Obviously, we're in a city of Houston. Go Cougs. Don't know if they got enough this year. Rotations are still beautiful. However, don't know if they have enough from flim and as a defender and his consistent offensive play where it was me, but you guys are here to talk Texans, not kind of basketball.

16:40And that is where we're going to continue. How does signing Wyatt Teller with the addition of Brady Smith, Evan Brown, re-signing Ed Ingram and Trent Brown, right? Are you going to say, Urcery is a lock and left tackle. You look at the depth you see now has with Andrews, Patterson and Blake Fisher. And Trent Brown is a depth piece. So I think they're solving on tackles. And how does these move impact the draft? One thing that Houston Texas ain't done yet, guys, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, son of a receiver. They ain't signed a receiver yet. And I know a lot of y'all are like, well, they don't need to receive a receiver soon. The accident they do, however, going into the draft, it felt like, especially before free agency, but really mid to last week, it felt like he's still needed, they signed Brady Smith. They bring back Ingram and Brown.

17:40This was before the Evan Brown trade. So it felt like the Houston Texans still needed to draft the center and left guard, right? Now it feels like the Houston Texans are in a position where they don't have to force an alignment. I think that's important, but before I get to that, Houston can now go BPA, best player available because of these moves, or the Texas can get aggressive and move up for a player that absolutely has their eye or an offensive playmaker. They can do that. Houston does not have to be tied down to drafting an alignment early with the hopes. And Houston Texans have a 28, 39, 59, they got some, they got their first three picks. You're looking at 28, 38, and 59, and 69, they have four top 100 picks.

18:46The Texans don't have to be tied down to drafting two of those four, using those four first four picks. Two of those don't have to be offensive linemen. They don't. And the Texas offensive linemen that maybe that they do draft early, that player does not have to be the savior of this offensive line. Houston can also look at the draft like a chick is a bull, right? When they can jump back and forth to create depth on low end, second to late round contracts that prepare themselves for the inevitable in a couple of seasons where those big contracts are out to Will Anderson, you'll see they shrouded in companies who else, the Texas choose to invest in big money to, right? So sharing up the offensive line of way that they've done it over the last nine days, I think is extremely important to create their flexibility throughout the draft, whether that's move enough for Houston to move them back. I am a fan of moving up and being aggressive and getting the true office of difference

19:47maker. That's just me. And so for the first time, and I'm kind of happy that they played out this way. But for the first time, I did my own PFF, my draft, and I told you guys, Houston, Texas, right now, currently, they have 28, 38, 59, 69, 106, 139, 165, and 243, that is a very separate round pick in this year's draft. And when I say, I'm a fan of being aggressive, I mean, this is what I did in my mock draft. Got some people up in arms, but it's always great discourse. I took the 28 and 39th overall pick, and I traded with the LA Rams for the 13 pick, and I would have been got my condolences. Again, I am a few of us in my tribe that feels like the Texans could use a difference maker

20:51at receiver. And I'm telling y'all, man, just imagine a Y receiver rule with Nico, Jane Higgins, Makai Lemon, and Taydale, and Charlie Nol, as your fifth receiver. I mean, that's special, and we know Houston don't carry six receivers, so you see a hood to sit on his roster? That is a great receiving rule. That allows for your quarterback to have weapons everywhere. And the best version of CJ Straum is when he has weapons everywhere. And that's the end of back to Ohio State. So that's what the first pick in the draft, at pick 13, at 59, I talked about how Houston could draft the offensive lineman, seeing what were in their first couple of picks, and not feel rushed to put that offensive lineman out on the field. I went with Georgia Tex, Keeling Rutledge. At 69, I went with Grayson Halton, the D-Liaman out of Oklahoma. Now, some of y'all may not like this. I don't have a jersey up anymore. But the following three picks, all UT players, that quarterback, Malik Muhammad, at 106,

21:55at 139, I went with Jack Endress, the Titanian out of UT, and also at 165, I went with Guard DJ Campbell. And with the seventh round pick, I went with Noah Wittenten to run it back out of Oregon. So, I mean, when I say I would love for Houston to get aggressive or getting a playmaker, an offensive playmaker, a different smaker, that's what I mean. And when I'm looking at how the Houston Texans can still navigate through this draft, they still, I still was able to, and obviously this is just a simulator, but you can still go big and go home with offensive lineman with their second pick. It still gets you a young D tackle that fits into what the program is asking of their D tackles. And don't get bogged up and not get it to a place where this team can't be aggressive and make a splash move. You have to make a do that, make it absolutely do that. And here's the thing with Macau lemon, or here's the thing if it was King and Sadeep.

22:56Eventually, they're going to have to move on from a dawn shows, if it's a King and Sadeep got an organ in the Titanian. Eventually, Xavier Hutchison, Tinkdale, they have one more year left on the contract. Eventually what's next for Nico Collins, Jane Higgins is your future, unless they train them for like AJ Brown or something like that. But other than that, it's important to invest in that room when we know this is a passing league. Seeing how hard it is for offices to be successful when your receiver room was weak. And in 2025, Houston's receiving room was not that great. So be aggressive. That is how this draft could pan out for Houston. Now that brain is smitten, white teller, Evan Brown, Ursula is on the left side, right?

23:59The guys are in place, this is how the draft can set Houston up. Now they could very well say we want a stud star and they can move up to go get it. They can play a safe, they can trade back and acquire picks on picks on picks to create that debt where it feels like every next man up is a guy that you don't have a real cool wall and they just make a place here there, but eventually like some of those guys just don't pan out. Some of those guys phase out of the league, star guys, star receivers, and when I'm looking for Kyle Limit, I see a lot, a lot of Jackson Smith and Jigman in his game. Who threw the chance here in college, I think that was, he's a strong, I think he was strong. Yeah, he was strong. And he's an interchangeable piece at Y receiver, no matter where he lines up, he can be in the back of the plate inside of the house, he's going to, he can move around in this

25:00office. They did it with Pook and the Cooler, Kaylee has some experience with that. That's not just scary here, let's not get to a place where we put the Texas in the box to not be bolded. And too often his franchise is kind of considered only off this inside of the box. Differently, they're always bold, especially under the Miko Ryan's when they trade up for who Anderson. Yeah, yeah, they saw God that they knew was going to be a difference maker and they traded up for him. Why not do the same on the office inside of the box, I got to get some kudos to Nick Syria before we close out today's show, having a fun show talking with y'all right now, man. 28:13Shout out to Cacerio, man, listen, hey, can't blame him, cannot blame him for what the results would look like if it's bad because I mean, he's swinging for the fences here and he's swinging. He may not get the whole run. Are you got a way to the end of the year to figure out if it's a whole run or not. But can he break and smit, you know, if he's in the right place and if he's healthy, is that a double? What is that? What is that? Is that a double? Same with Wyatt Teller, right? And again, I mean, he made me the guy that I'm really looking forward to seeing what he does the most, but he got a couple of doubles right now. And Brandon Smith made very well be a triple, not a whole run, but a triple, right?

29:19Wyatt Teller could be a double, Evan Brown, Shingo, right, you're looking at the combination of getting a triple brown and adding them back double, right? He's in a position where, like last year, he was extremely smug about it. We're not worried about the office line. You guys shouldn't be. Y'all remember that? And at the end of the year, the office line was worried, it was concerned, it was bad. This year, it's been incredibly intentional to get this office line, office of line to a place where it's not one dimensional. So we can't come out of this season. We come out to the 2025 season and we say things like, what a past blocking improve, what's around blocking stills in the gutter. He is trying, and not only is he trying, because y'all remember on the podcast that I did

30:21not too long ago, very, very recently, I said, man, I love these contracts, he's put together like, that's not a single contract that is going to cripple the Houston Texans. So break the smith to your deal, to your window, right? Why I tell it to your deal, to your window, to your brown one, your deal, even brown one of your deal, the browns on one of your deals, Eddie Grimm is the only one who went through your deal. Erskins are already under contract as a rookie, so we know where he stands, right? But he rebuilt this office of line, he got how it out of there, and I hope he's successful in Cleveland. Juice Grugs is out of there. He rebuilt this office of line and it didn't break the pockets, it didn't break the bank,

31:24but he also rebuilt it in a way where, like I mentioned early in the show, the characteristics of this office of line is going to look a whole lot different, right? Like okay, let me tell us what's already here when the Houston Texans drafted Titus Howard. And if he wasn't already here, I can't remember the dates how they aligned, but they were essentially, Titus Howard was a young pup when he got around Lamby Tonson. Lamby Tonson had already been in the lead. How much of Lamby Tonson rubbed off on Titus Howard? In a good way, but also maybe in a not so good way. So you look at how the Houston Texans office of line was in the previous era, how much of that carried over and why it was important to move on from Lamby and then move on from Howard because the stigma or maybe again, I call it the characteristic, but essentially

32:38this office of line just lacked dominance. They lacked, especially on the inside, they lacked the wheel to move a body. They lacked that. And so in two seasons back to back, they move on from Lamby to they move on from Titus Howard. Obviously money was a big reason why both players, when they get to their new team, they get to a place where they want to get the extension for Lamby Tonson. He got it this year after his first year with the Washington commanders. Titus got it this year immediately when he got to the Cleveland Browns. So money played an issue, but also, like these guys just wasn't nasty guys, they were body moves up front. That's just the reality of it, and I'm sure Cicero, who seen it all, didn't really want the area of the earth to fall into that same trap of what many may feel like Titus Howard did. That's how I know Howard took the leadership role this year to a place where we never saw

33:43him before, and I thought he put in the work to be much better because he was the most better player this year, all things aside. But now we look at it off in some line, add it with Smith and Teller, and it ain't just a white black thing. I mean, those are jokes, some ways. But you look at, like those guys, when White Teller was healthy and good, he was a complete body mover, not shader, mover, and the hope is he's back to that. Right? Smith will move a body. He will move a body off the way. Evan Brown, with the right guys around him, I mean, especially when he's playing center, he is a very good, well, I'll call him in the bus. Love average decent duo room blocker, well, he will move a body with you. The Texas won't guys that are going to move bodies, not just shade to a linebacker, keep

34:44kind of shit off. I had to make a play at the line, screamers on the back field. They want somebody, they want to learn that it's tough, nasty, physical, as what they've said, as if they've won it and haven't had it. So for Ciserio to kind of make some things change, internally, externally, contractually to hold on, and for the offensive line to look different in many ways, that does speak to where he is now as a general manager, recognizing he was wrong last year, he was wrong year prior, and also recognizing, I'm still in draft me office of love this year, but I ain't going to be in the situation where I got a prank on the King of Green again. Get do it. So even if I do get me a young guy, I got somebody in front of him that'll be able to go now. These are the things that you want to see from Ciserio, I've been extremely critical

35:45up, but I can't lie, and I can't front Kudos to Ciserio, Kudos to him, man, hopefully he's enjoying an arduous salad, I may have said that wrong, which is one of the worst salads, by the way. Spring salad with some beats and a couple of chopped up pieces of steak, patting himself on the back with a brand new swear vest because the last seven days, eight days of free agency, and they capped off with the wireteller because of the vision and not just speaking about the vision, also working towards the vision, okay, hey, we just got to see how it plays out. And if it doesn't, paying off to where wireteller is exactly what he was in 2025, then you can't knock him for trying. He didn't really try last year, well, ain't the time to sit, didn't try it this year.
