Tehran downplays talks with U.S. as American troops increase presence in Middle East

The aircraft carrier USS George HW Bush deployed on March 31 with a strike group of over 6,000 sailors, joining units like the USS Tripoli already in the region.  Hundreds of US special operations forces, including Navy SEALs and Army Rangers, are now stationed in the region as President Trump leaves the door open for potential ground operations.
