Teens Jailed for Beach Manslaughter

0:00On April 30th, three teenagers got hit with manslaughter sentences for beating a 49-year-old man to death on a canned beach. They figured he was a pedophile after he handed his business card to a 16-year-old girl at an arcade. The girl and a 16-year-old boy each landed seven years in custody while the 15-year-old boy got five. It all kicked off with about 75 messages luring electrician Alexander Cashford to lays down on C two days later. Cashford started as a joke, turned deadly, when they chased him down and smashed him with rocks in a bottle, leaving over 30 injuries. The judge at the old Bailey called it an appalling, senseless killing of a stranger who did nothing wrong. Cashford's parents described their kind son as crushed by this cruel, pointless act. While prosecutors slammed it as a pre-planned, brutal assault on, a guy who couldn't fight back. Turns out Cashford had a prior stalking conviction from earlier that year. But the teens claimed they just wanted to name and shame him.
