Charlotte Venables grabbed the girl by the ankle, pulled her down from a bench, then yanked her by the wrist into the corridor in front of other kids, back in September 2022. She was rushing to lock up the rooms and start class, so she counted down from 60 seconds, but when the girl asked for 20 more, Venables lost. Patients and used force. She didn't report the incident to school leaders right away, which broke safeguarding rules. The girl's mom complained about the man handling, leading to Venables' suspension and a full misconduct hearing by the teaching regulation agency. Venables emitted her actions were unacceptable and damaged the profession's reputation, calling it a huge error in judgment.
