Taylor Rapp Returns to Rams as Free Agent

0:00For the NFL, it's March 6th, and here's what's going on. The Buffalo Bill's release safety Taylor Ramp on Friday, freeing of $3 million in salary cap space. Now, a free agent at just 28 years old, there's talk of a possible reunion with the Los Angeles Rams, where he started his career in 1A Super Bowl. Rapp was a second-round pick by the Rams back in 2019. Over four seasons there, he put up solid numbers, averaging 82 tackles in two interceptions per year. The Rams let him walk in free agency before the 2023 season, and he signed with Buffalo. Fans didn't fight it much, given his ups and downs and coverage and tackling. Los Angeles looks set at safety, with Cam Curl locked in for three more years, and Quentin Lake possibly shifting back there. Plus Trent McDuffy as a... Slot option. Still, Rapp could slide in as a depth player, or even at linebacker. With familiarity on his side, and only six games under his belt last season, this might be his best shot to revive his career in L.A. as a reliable backup.
