On April 9th, a 50-year-old Tajikistan national named Abdulmanan Aliyev just got convicted for attempted rape and sexual assault on a bow, 13-year-old girl, during a train ride from south into London last June 16th. Jurors nailed him on two counts of assault by penetration, three sexual assaults, and the attempted rape charge. He started by sitting across from her, pulling out a translator app to talk, but she moved away. He followed, boxed her in by the window, and carried out the attack right up until they hit London Finchurch Street Station. The girl bolted onto another train, then told some strangers she met how shaken up she was. They got police on the line fast, kicking off a solid investigation by British Transport Police. Officers from their major crime team hunted him down playing closed style in Peckham, South London, on June 27th. They nabbed him on the street, searched his place, grabbed the exact clothes from that day, and filed charges the next morning. With sentencing set for June 17th, this case highlights how quick reporting and sharp police

work can lock up predators like him, keeping. Public spaces safer for everyone.
