Syracuse Basketball Hires Greg Fahey as GM

0:00On April 23rd, Syracuse basketball just locked in their next general manager. Reports say they're bringing on Greg Fahey from Hampton University to replace Alex Klein. This move rounds out the staff for new head coach Jerry McNamara, who's building his squad from the ground up. Fahey's wrapping up his second year as associate head coach and GM at Hampton in Virginia. The pirates had a rough 13 and 19 record last season in the Coastal Athletic Association, but that's not the full story on this guy. Cues fans are hyped, sending congrats across the nation. Fahey's got deep roots in the AAU world, coaching the city rocks on Nike's elite youth basketball leaks circuit out of Albany, New York. Plenty of those players ended up suiting up for Syracuse, so his recruiting network is gold. He's no stranger to the modern game either, with hands-on experience in name, image and likeness deals from his time at Hampton and as a special.
